The Downfall of FSU Begins

#21

Quote:Banking on top recruiting classes can be a slippery slope. There are certainly a lot of areas that need work. I understand there is a lot of youth, but there is never a guarantee that the youth develops.

They've put a ton of top recruits into the NFL the last few years. I don't see that stopping anytime soon.

Anybody banking on some sort of FSU downfall is going to be disappointed.

FSU isn't disappearing anytime soon. But only because they play in the joke conference the ACC.

It's like people blame FSU for the ACC being so bad.

Meh, it's not nearly as bad as everyone thinks.

When you have freshmen and underclassmen play the #1 team in the country the way that they did tonight, it's hard to be depressed with this loss. Everyone knew FSU was going to lose a few games this season, but to fight the way they did against Clemson, its very encouraging for the next few years..

Their QB spot and OL have gone to Hell

won't matter if you have all stars every where else if those spots aren't right

they had like 5 procedure calls out there tonight

Yikes
The line is full of freshman. That's what happens when you are constantly sending players to the league. Is a Miami fan really gonna talk crap about a team that went into the number 1 team in the nation and lost in the final minutes. What has you're team done lately.....O that's right fired your coach for not getting it done.

Yes their downfall has begun.  The program is in the decline and it is going downhill as we speak!

They have at least one more loss? To who? I'm a gator fan, but I'd pick FSU to win the game because we have Treon at QB. You know, the guy with the passing arm of a sickly young girl?

Doesn't help that Charles Kelly is a terrible defense of coordinator to much talent on the FSU defense not to be a top 5 defense. 2 bad play calls in defense gave up two TD.

Georgia Tech on a game-ending blocked field goal for touchdown. That happened two weeks ago.

That would be the Gators, of course.

Am I a bad person because I laugh at certain things that most others wouldn't laugh at?

I'd rather have Charlie Kelly running our defense.

Kaaya is terrible. In fact Miami's entire team is terrible. No stadium, no fans. 7 or 8 wins a year AT MOST for the next decade.

A limited-in-time drop off is expected with a team as successful as FSU. FSU has had more players drafted in the NFL Draft in a 3 year span in history (29). We aren't talking about NFL backups either. They lost a Heisman-winning QB with a 26-1 record. A QB whose current QB rating is higher than former number 1 overall picks Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford, and Sam Bradford. A running back that leads the NFL by far in both yards and touchdowns. Another running back 11th in touchdowns. A linebacker 2nd in the NFL in total tackles. A cornerback that leads in pass deflections. Offensive lineman, who as a starting rookie, already has a Super Bowl ring. These rookies or 2nd year players are at or near the top of most meaningful NFL statistics.

Now for the future: 2 of the top 4 Pro Football Focuses top freshman based on current performances are FSU freshman James and Sweat. Also on defense are numerous other underclassmen as starters. On offense, all but 1 offensive lineman are underclassmen (half being freshman). Both TEs are freshman. 3/4ths of the WR crew they rotate in are underclassmen. Dalvin Cook, arguably the best RB in college football, will be back. Complimented by then 2nd year RB Patrick.

The fact remains: No other team in college football develops talent on par with FSU. The majority of starters are underclassmen who coming out of high school were either the best player in the country or top 5 at their position. A lot of similarities between this team and the 2012 team. All but 1 offensive linemen underclassmen, TEs underclassmen, underclassmen rbs, QB heading out. What followed were 2 undefeated regular seasons, back to back conference titles, a heisman trophy, and a national title.
New signature because HIGH SCORE found the periodic table offensive. Pathetic LOL

FSU is going to be hurting for the next couple of years at least.

Their QB spot and OL is a HOT MESS

Man those spots are terrible for them

What the heck is Trickett doing??

FSU looked like a JV team on offense out there
Trickett is at West Virgina.

I think he's talking about the o-line coach.
