He's the LEAST of our worries.
I think he will be too. I'm glass half full on him.

How can anyone think Caldwell is the problem?  We have a undrafted WR starting at WR on pace for 1,000 yards. And the QB who he reached for with the 3rd ovr pick just had a career day.

He was pretty much a consensus top 10 pick, hard to call him a reach.

Quote:This honestly wouldn't surprise me if true. Caldwell is a slick guy. Hire the over the top positive guy to keep the team together while they are losing. Then fire him once all the pieces are in place.
um. i wasn't taking this thread very seriously but this post made something come back to me that i had thought a while back. When Dave first hired Gus he said he thought Gus was the right guy for that time because he knew the team would be losing a lot and they'd need someone to keep them together while losing. Think about that statement for a second.

Yep, I said that last week. Bradley was the right guy for a complete tear down because he wouldn't lose the locker room while they were terrible.

Quote:He intentionally hired a lame duck coach hoping to get 4 years in a row of top picks, and having a load of cap space. He has known for awhile who he wants his next coach to be, he was just using each year to make the job more attractive by supplementing the roster with talent.

Wake up sheeple.
This is genius on his part.  It's the only explanation for keeping Gus around.

See. I knew I wasn't the only one.

And he hired the guy who makes all that look like trash each and every football week. You have confidence he can find a coach who's worth a damn giving his track record?
