Actually, I thought the defense played much better today.

Run Defense was excellent.

3rd and longs,,, yeah that was still bad.


But, in the 4th qtr (when it was imperative to stop them) they kept stopping the Jets and giving the offense a chance.

- Down 5 points,, defense gets ball back for Jags.

- Yeldon rips off a big run,, terrible penalty,, Bortles fumble

- Defense stuffs the Jets and gets the ball back for the Jags

- Muffed punt,, leading to a questionable (maybe good play) TD to Marshall,, now down 2 scores

- Jags TD in 3 plays!!

- Onside kick fails

- Defense stuffs Jets AGAIN,, giving Jags offense a chance

- INT Bortles trying to make something happen instead of chucking it away and trying another play (He'll learn to check that aggression as he matures).


Anyway, the defense played much better than usual (superb against the run,, good in the 4th qtr).


**Guys - 3 offensive turnovers plus a Muffed Punt turnover almost ALWAYS loses the game in the NFL. **


Defense was much better.

Gus made Gus decisions. Gotta get those random guys their snaps, preferably in critical points of the game.


Yeldon looking good? Give it to Toby. Got a 4th string RB? Have a package of plays for him. Walters quietly one of your most consistent and reliable players? Give Marshall a shot!
