He shouldn't bash Blake publicly I agree, but he has on more than a few occasions defended in him very uneducated ways. Remember twice now he has, on video, claimed he went back and watched every other QB and they are making the same mistakes as Blake. He has multiple times mentioned useless overall counting stats to defend him as well.

 

There's no reason for us to believe he's just keeping his cards close to his vest. Especially after Henne's deal. Nothing has changed until it does. We'll just keep dreaming it does.

I just want the same team that played the Titans in Jax on Christmas Eve. Give me that team for the next 16 regular season games. Marrone' first game as as Jax head coach was as perfect a game as I've seen the Jags play, going all the way back to 2007.

If you want to believe that Caldwell's public use of misleading stats to defend Blake represent his actual evaluation of the football player, go right ahead. 

 

I'm confident that Caldwell is not that stupid. 

 

Sure he could still be guarded of his intentions at QB. If he covets one in the draft as competition there's no reason for him to put that out there and reasons exist why he shouldn't.  

 

Of course QB competition  may be a pipe dream, but I'll keep hoping.

OLine and Dline must be fixed this year to be in with a shot. Not sure if Parnell is up to par.


At the end of the day, we have to win games against the tinhorns and tacks. We need a very good Dline to beat the tacks and we need a strong OLine to be in with a shot against Watt/Clowney/Mercilus.


Stock up both lines as much as possible this year and all will be well-ish
