This one was really a surprise.  His new show on CBS was just starting to get traction, and the only reason I watched it was because he was in the lead role.  Always enjoyed him in movies or on TV no matter what it was.  RIP

Yeah, I just watched episode 3 last night and he's really got that part going well then this. They said he completed the original order of episodes, so maybe they just end it, maybe they write in a replacement.

It was heart surgery, currently undisclosed type, but I read a story where he had rheumatic fever as a kid, that damaged his heart valves.

My father had the same thing and had to have his aortic valve replaced. He made it through.
