I feel sorry for Scobee. Super nice guy. I wonder why kickers suddenly stop being effective. Is it an erosion of leg muscle strength that comes with age?  Is it a psychological thing?

 

  A few seasons ago,  Packers K Mason Crosby went into a slump for most of that season.   The Packers stayed with him and since then Crosby has been one of the best kickers in the NFL.   It's possible Josh Scobee's issue is technique or psychological.   Regardless,  getting a 6th Rounder for him gives the Jags an extra draft chip.
