Sen'Derrick Marks Could Possibly Miss Six Games

Suh is as mean as they come. He's willing to stomp your face in if he has to, just like fat albert. Bortles better be ready to run that game...smh

As far as Marks...the dline is far from dominant without him in there.

Marks needs to sit until about the 6 or 7 the game anyway. I have never known a DL/OL to come back as quick as he said he would. Hope I am wrong but looks like Bennett is going to get plenty of time in the rotation

Ease him back into the lineup. Other players will just have to step up. No point in getting him hurt again and out even longer.

Another poster said it already... throw bennett to the fire and let the rookie sink or swim. Bennett comes from a winning program and should be used to high pressure situations and some adversity.

I expect the team doctors will want him out until at least week 4-6. Who knows for sure though. Maybe he has had a near record recovery.

I'm not familiar with how the PUP list works, but I feel like he'll be ready to go way before week 6, in which case I'd let him sit out week 1 if he needs to.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

As others have said, it's better he wait it out until he is 100%. Would love to see Bennett get his hands dirty in that role!

Quote:I don't like it. The Jaguars have nearly impossible to win games right out of the gate the first four weeks, so they'll need all the help they can get. If he's not quite ready week one I hope he's ready week two. Whatever the case, as soon as we can get Marks out there we need to get him out there. I really don't like the idea of starting 0-4 and feel it's imperative we at least win one of those games.
You think week 1 vs. CAR  is impossible?

Panthers have no O-line and No receivers.

and no secondary.

I think Blake and ARob have big games.

Also, people think Suh will be going against Luke? That's not happening. It's more like Cameron Wake who is still very good but he's no Suh.

Suh would most likely take on Beadles. Wrap your brain around that a bit....

I've watched Marks on the sideline during practices and he is favoring that knee big time. Not a whole lot of push off. Can't have that during a game. I'd rather he sit until week six and gain confidence and strength.

Agreed.  I think he'll be fine.  Losing Marks sucks for the early part of the season, but the team can survive without him for a few games.  I'd rather see him get healthy and more confident on that knee.  His presence will matter more as the season progresses, especially if the Jags get on a bit of a hot streak.

This is still a young team.  This is where you identify new stars.

They know what they're doing. They aren't going to rush him out there before he is ready.

However, if they think he could come in and contribute, with minimal risk, anytime before week 6, he won't start on PUP.

May as well put him on IR. Remember how "weak" Joeckel was coming back from his season-ending injury? Marks could likely be the same and thus not very effective. Keep him out for the season and let him heal. He can work his strength back up during the season while on IR and make it to 100% for the beginning of next training camp/season.

Joeckel is still weak, it wasn't the injury.

When does this rebuild peak? Does this team go 8 straight years without a winning record? Injuries happen, that cannot be the continued excuses.

Week 1 vs Panthers is winnable. To me it's a must win. Home opener, a team with no offense.... Lose this...then 0-4 is a strong possibility.

Maybe the front office feels the same. Getting a 6 th for Scobee, and trading him to an AFC team, doesn't sound like a team expecting playoffs, but rather another rebuild year.

We might want to invest in a real fullback for that game. Or just line Cann up in the backfield throughout.

Have AluAlu take on Suh in the FB position.  That would be funny!

Really?

Scobee is the key factor keeping them from making a playoff run?

Really?

Funny?

I would so love to see that.  Or rather, HEAR that.
