STEP YOUR GAME UP MAN!

I just cant stand the missed assignments on defense, the terrible tackling and taking of poor angles. Or poor tackling and taking terrible angles. Makes us look like the bad news bears. The D-End. not playing disciplined, staying home and containing the outside, but rather crashing in, getting turned around (Odrick), and watching the play stretch to the outside with no one there to make the tackle for another 8-12 yards.

Really burns me up. Grinds my gearz

For all the people complaining about Yeldon, could someone please show me which RB did have a good game.

Denard had a decent sprint up the middle for like six yards. I don't know if I'd call that a good game necessarily, but it was pretty much the only decent run with starters in there. At least Yeldon had his 12-yard screen pass. I'm not complaining about Yeldon though. My complaint is that the run blocking was atrocious.

Our run blocking was getting plenty of push against both the steelers and the giants. We struggled against Detroit but they were the #1 rushing defense in the league last year and our best interior lineman injured his foot the second play of the game.

You would have to be blind not to see improvement in our run blocking.

The third game is really the one that counts. They had a better push the last two weeks against extremely vanilla defenses. Consider for example how teams basically walked all over the Rams the first two games. Well, in the third game they played defense for real against the Colts, and aside from one bomb by Luck that he'll do to every team they play, the Rams defense was impresssive as heck. Granted Linder wasn't at his best, but if he couldn't play he should take himself out. That doesn't excuse the entire starting OL showing up completely inept in the run blocking department.

In fairness, this was not the same defense the Lions had last year.

Gone are Suh and Fairley from the DT spots.

Their replacements-Pro Bowl DL Haloti Ngata and Caraun Reid-did not play against the Jaguars.  Starting DE Ziggy Ansah did not play, either.

But you are absolutely correct in that in the preseason overall, the Jaguars have shown improvement in the run blocking.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
