LOL... teachable for the DJ, maybe. Know your audience.

This will be the first time I've attended training camp, I live in SC and will be traveling to see it on Saturday, can anyone tell me what I can expect? Meet and great with players?

For the most part, the practice is pretty boring. The players come out onto the practice fields, do some warmups, then split up into groups (offensive linemen, wide receivers, etc.). They'll work on drills for a while, then it gets semi-interesting when they start doing what I call "underwear scrimmage". Keep in mind, they are not wearing pads and there is little if any contact. After practice, most of the players will sign autographs and briefly talk to the fans along the "fence" as they make their way back to the locker room. Since this is the first time that you've been there, I won't discourage you from attending. However, I personally find the whole experience a little "underwhelming" so to speak. Of course, I'm not really one that cares about autographs or anything like that. For someone that has never attended one, it can be interesting, but since I have been to several, I find it kind of boring personally. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. I've watched various teams in camp practices on NFL Network so I understand how it can look boring. That said, if you can get into virtually every play in order to write about it like FBT does, I'm sure it's much less boring.

I bet, if even Simple Gus sees Tim's reports, he'll ask for them to be taken down. Coughlin would pay him a visit. JDR will corner him in the alley. They are some telling pieces.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars.
YEP -- as long as the FBT's EBT Card keeps getting loaded, we'll get our camp reports !!

That is certainly a gift. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
