Pasztor!

Quote:It did High Score. Dunno if he was dominant, but he was inserted into the lineup in December 2012 by Murlakey and co and started the last 3 games, at Miami, home v. Pats and finale in titville, all losses of course.

I'm not arguing that he played. To imply that someone would dominate at his position and then promptly be moved to another position is silly. Not to mention that no one has dominated on the Jags oline for years.

I found it choppy and colorful

Thought it was Hurricane's self composed piece

The chic is called Austin and comes from Austin, or absconded to there?

What song is it?

Back in the day, my gal and I would bike from San Pablo Blvd to Jax Beach many an evening

Attempting to write poetry on the beach as we partook from God's green

Watching the sun set

Then off to Carrabba's on 3rd Street

For needed muchies fulfillment

But I fear the mob/mod squad in the Jungle

They may consider parts of this content inappropriate

Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

I agree.  Especially, since we changed coaching staff immediately afterwards.

But I think what 02 was getting at is that he outplayed his position at guard that they felt he should be upgraded to the more demanding tackle spot.

The way the local press reported it (and the way I saw it too) was that he played somewhat poorly at guard  -  and when Caldwell took over he speculated Pasztor's body type might be better suited on the outside. They moved him there in an attempt to salvage something from the prior regime's miserable front-five.

I, personally, recall thinking his work at guard was bad enough in 2012 that I was shocked at the confidence the new staff had in him in 2013. I found his play at RT in 2013 to be quite good in a few games and I remember gaining some confidence in Caldwell for initiating the position change.

There was an article in the Jax paper on the position change and Caldwell's involvement during the 2013 preseason that spelled all of this out pretty clearly.

My recollection of the situation as well.

Quote:She left without leavin' a number

Said she needed to clear her mind

He figured she'd gone back to Austin

'Cause she talked about it all the time

It was almost a year before she called him up

Three rings and an answering machine is what she got

If you're callin' 'bout the car I sold it

If this is Tuesday night I'm bowling

If you've got somethin' to sell, you're wastin' your time, I'm not buyin'

If it's anybody else, wait for the tone,

You know what to do
And P.S. if this is Austin, I still love you

One word... NICE!

I'm sure Caldwell did recognize he had the body type to play outside, but I can assure you this wouldn't have even been a thought in his mind if the undrafted rookie played poorly at guard. Simply put, the Jaguars finally had some stability at LG when Pasztor was inserted. Maybe "dominated" was too strong a word, but he at least held his own better than the guys playing the position prior to him. I distinctly recall watching him in those final games thinking "man I really like that guy."
