This Damatious Randall that some people are hyping up is undraftable IMO.  Geez he looks bad.  This is turning out to be a dreadful class for Safeties. 

He's not undraftable, but he's certainly not nearly as good as some here are talking him up to be. He's as interested in tackling as Deion Sanders was, and that's a very bad trait for a safety.

Maybe. Shoot, Tyrann Mathieu turned into a solid FS. I think it's likely that Caldwell has a few guys in mind that he likes as conversion projects, and I have a sneaking suspicion that Ifo Ekpre-Olomu could be our third-round pick for that reason.

Just been watching highlights from all the FS candidates and the one that still stands out for me is Chris Hackett.


Most of the others can be seen picking off loose passes and retuning them up the field. But Hackett just seems more physical and able to make something out of nothing.

I actually like Matt Miller and he's gives great insight on Twitter, but Randall to Mathieu is so bad. I'm starting to wonder if Randall has some serious dirt on some of these analysts and trying to blackmail them. I'm not being serious but can't understand how some people have a 2nd rd grade on him.

That guy Byron from Uconn will get over drafted by some team that falls in love with track and field stars.


Id take a flyer on him in the mid rounds for potential alone and special teams play, but no way do you draft him over a solid offensive lineman for example, which will be abailable in round 2.

I think he is a prime example of people falling in love with combine numbers.  Because on the field, I just don't see it.  It doesn't even looks like he wants to be out there.

Agreed. I think he ran a 4.41 at the combine but he doesn't play anywhere near that.
