Team needs a culture change and badly. Thomas would be a very nice start..

Nothing encourages winning like winning! Conversely, looser tend to keep doing the things that cause them to continually lose, like making excuses for losing, for instance. We know what our most glaring needs are; hopefully, we've addressed one (quarterback) and can now do something about our o-line, TE, LB's, S's, RB.

His numbers are going to drop, there's no way they don't. If Bortles improves though, there's no reason to expect Julius to not be a key cog to this offense. He's a heck of a talent. If Julius sucks here, I think it will likely be from Bortles not being how good we all think he will be. I expect him to improve, just saying I think if he busts it will be from outside problems. Would be very surprised if Bortles takes a step forward this year and Julius isn't at least a little bit of the reason for it. He's a freak.

Just google Julius Thomas, there is more. Also reports that Randall Cobb has agreed to a new contract with the Packers. Oh well.


So it looks like we won't be getting Suh (Dolphins), McCourty (Eagles or Giants), or Cobb (Packers).

I am too.  However as someone else pointed out it'll quickly let us know how far along Bortles is progressing.  If Thomas disappears we'll know Bortles isnt doing his job.

Good point, we have more weapons now then any other QB in Jaguar history. I'm expecting leaps and bounds at QB, he was the 3rd overall pick time to show us why.

I think so, Jimmy and Keenan where great but we NEVER had a third option in the passing game. This group we have is just as talented as a whole as we've ever had.

I hate this whole process. I think he would be an upgrade, but we're talking about 1200 CAREER yards. 24 TDs is great, but Manning isn't going to be under center in the red zone for us this season. Again an upgrade, but I don't expect end of the world money.

You have to get better and when you have the cap space, you use it for production players. As horribad as this team is, JT would be a very welcomed sight to this heap of trash offense..

Was I the only one who would mix up the Thomas'es? Demaryius is big for a wideout and Julius is athletic for a TE. Sometimes didn't know which Thomas it was until the announcers said so

We needed a red zone threat bad. Why not get the best one available? I love Scobee, but he sees the field entirely WAY too much.
