The level of disdain this franchise imposes, is unmeasurable, it cannot be defined, or assigned value, while its form, body of work, and evolution will have scholars alike dumbfounded as the shroud of mystery delves ever further into the dark abyss.
Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.

Quote:meh, don't really care.  All I remember from him is that they wanted to keep him on when Mularkey was fired but didn't block him from interviewing for other jobs.  Then he took the job in Oakland.
Interesting I didnt know about that, I know he and Gus was on the Bucs staff together, I think its a good choice somebody who Gus is comfortable with instead of someone who would sabotage the team.

With a semi competent OC how many games would we have won this year? Eagles, Houston, Chargers, Ravens, Pitt, and Tenn All those games we where either winning or within one score at halftime. we put up 0 points after halftime in some of those games and did not make adjustments to win. If we had a decent OC its possible we win those games, our record would have been 9-7. With marron and olsens experience i think we put up 8-8 or 9-7 this year. so its a good hire. Getting rid of fisch was the major decision to move this franchise forward.

Well what I would say is that the things that we've thought would be good turned out to be bad, so thinking it's going to be bad hopefully will turn that luck around.  Keep on hating it so our reverse luck works.

Quote:We need more TE production for sure.  But I wouldn't rely on it coming from a TE who has been a receiving threat one time in an 8 year career.
that's for sure...

So Bradley calls Trestman a "great football mind", then proceeds to hire the guy he has known for a while because he "thinks he could be a good fit." This attitude is why we can't have nice things.

All he does is hire people he has a past history with, who he's comfortable with. That's a recipe for disaster. Fisch had no business being hired in the first place.

i wanted trestman as well. the thing about these hires is that we dont know the inner workings of the business. from everything i have read, olson is actually well respected for what he does amongst his peers.

here is hoping that he surprises us.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Sorry, homer. I had it right the first time. Nine months from now you'll have a pitchfork and a torch, leading the lynch mob and declaring that you knew this would happen.
