Jedd Fisch Fired!

Quote:I certainly can't argue the offense was productive under Fisch.  My whole point in keeping him on was continuity for Bortles, Lee, et al.

I can only hope Fisch's replacement has a system that is easy for the guys to learn and be successful in.

I wouldn't mind Koetter (though thus far Atlanta has retained his rights).

Trestman and Morninwheg might be interesting, too.

I know, but my whole point is that the continuity thing is extremely overrated.

Koetter is not coming back here.  Trestman seems like a likely candidate.

Quote:@ryanohalloran: I'd throw out Greg Roman, 49ers OC, as well. He would have been #Jaguars head coach had SF lost in division round in Jan. 13.

Caldwell stressed the fact that Bradley is in charge of his staff, so I don't think the fact Roman could have been the HC here would hold much if any value.

Agree there. Changing OC's helped Tannehill in Miami.

Continuity just for the sake of continuity? Dumb.

His offense was terrible. A lot of people have been saying it all along.

Time for some people to eat some crow.

I think Gus hired fisch to run that mobile QB system like Wilson in Seatlle and Dave drafted drop back QB. It just didnt mesh. I think Fischs offense would work great in SF with mobile Kap.

And he will spin it some how to say he never once said Fisch was the right guy and that he should stay.

There were also a lot of people saying this regime won't fire anybody and that they'll be getting ice cream together or whatever.  I think what this proved is that Dave and Gus are willing to do what it takes to make the Jaguars a winner.  I like what I'm seeing.
