I've met 2 or 3 dozen, and have had a great time with all of them.

 

I've had invitations from a few others to meet in an alley or a random battlefield, but none of them ever showed.

I saw Norman Mushari at a store once but I was hesitant to introduce myself and meet him because he was wearing the same thing as his avatar. Kinda creeped me out.

If I remember correctly from the picture he posted years ago in a brag thread that his wife is a lot younger than him...so he probably met her in day care! It is Sammy after all! :thumbsup:

I don't see very many out here. 

 

I guess I can't say I see many, but I see them around pretty often for it being 3000 miles from Jacksonville. This car wash down the road from me has like 6 Jags fans working at it. My neighbor is such a big fan he has a street sign that says Jaguars Lane out front haha.

I've met quite a few.  Several years back there was another board started that organized a few events that I attended.  Some of it was a lot of fun such as doing stuff during training camp, meeting up for a "send off" when the team was leaving for a road game and tailgating events on game day.

 

However, it started to turn into a "cliquish" kind of group, and I didn't want any part of that.  I got some insight into how people would say mean or derogatory things about some of the others behind their backs, yet in person they would "fake" liking the person and it really turned me off.  This came from several of the "leaders" of that group.  A few of them that I know of are still "around" and frequently comment on a certain fan blog on the internet.

 

I do my best to accept people for who they are, even if they aren't "socially cool" or don't have anything in common with me other than being a fan of The Jaguars.

The message board pulled together a get together several years back, I think it was Del Rio's second year.  They held it at the Mudville Grille in St. Nicholas and booked the private room.  We probably had 50-60 people from the board there.  The folks who organized it sort of still around, although not as active on the board as they were at the time.  There were a couple like Fargin and Dav who have since passed away.  It was a good time.  There was enough money raised to have giveaways, and the team donated a bunch of stuff.  Jack's brother Jeff was actually there and hung out with us.  He used to be a regular on the board.  Interesting guy.  He was actually the one that suggested doing it.

 

Years later, Donovin Darius did a get together to go bowling.  It started out as something he suggested on the board (he posted here as well), and it took off from there.  He ended up doing it multiple years and turning it into a charity event, but it was always well attended by board members. 

 

That's where I met FBT, Fargin, JagsAmore and a few others.

 

Fargin and I used to argue a lot on the board and I always felt him introducing himself to me that night was a conciliatory gesture, one I gladly accepted.

 

Dav and one other regular visited me here in Tennessee the summer after I moved from Jacksonville. It was a week of partying I'll never forget.

There were several of us back in the day that got together for training camps, tailgating, meeting up at a restaurant for away games. It was fun times.
