GOP has 2 years to prove it basically. They've gotten away with just block Obama for the last 6 years but NOW they've got control and the responsibility to get stuff done.


If they come out with more big government solutions, corporate bailouts, and social authoritarianism this wave will be short lived. I'm hopeful they learned something lost bush era but we shall see.

Unfortunately I think this will be the most likely scenario. With even the fawning media turning against him, he'll try to establish himself in his final two years as a resolute statesman by using his veto pen, knowing Congress doesn't have the votes to overturn it. The American people will be subject to more of the same stalemate.
