Quote:GOP has 2 years to prove it basically. They've gotten away with just block Obama for the last 6 years but NOW they've got control and the responsibility to get stuff done.

If they come out with more big government solutions, corporate bailouts, and social authoritarianism this wave will be short lived. I'm hopeful they learned something lost bush era but we shall see.

Harry Reid been the blocker..... House passes all this bills and Reid refuses to let them come to a vote in the Senate

Quote:LOL Correct, John Kasich is a bad politician. But that does not seem to matter when the only other option is a criminal.

Kasich has always struck me as a somewhat moderate guy. What makes him so bad?

Fine but now the republicans have control time to show up and get something passed. Let's start with the keystone pipeline.

I like Mitch McConnell's wife.  Maybe because I'm partial to immigrants from Taiwan.  She has an impressive life story.

Quote:True.  And now, we'll see how soon they get fed up with conservative policy.

I wouldn't call it 'conservative' policy based on who won these senate races and who will be in control of the agenda in either house.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

you do realize that Oblahblah still has the veto pen and his hugely partisan outlook, right?

2 years of gridlock is what we're going to get. Nothing will change except which leader of the dumbocrat party is doing the blocking.

The only place you'll see it is in the states, and how many incumbent R governors lost yesterday? Looks like people remembered why liberal policy sucks and they want no part of it. Maybe we have hope after all!

Why did they make BO look white?

It's just going to Dem payback, and gridlock continues. now filibustering just reverses teams.

If the GOP stops the funneling of countless dollars into elections, that alone will be a step forward.

But damn sure ain't holding my breath.

Unfortunately I think this will be the most likely scenario. With even the fawning media turning against him, he'll try to establish himself in his final two years as a resolute statesman by using his veto pen, knowing Congress doesn't have the votes to overturn it. The American people will be subject to more of the same stalemate.

It's amazing to me that you can be the CEO of the company that perpetrated that biggest Medicare fraud in the history of the United States and get re-elected as state governor.
