The future core of a perennial playoff team is being identified.  The OL is getting better and skill players are being acquired and gaining experience and seasoning.  They all won't become stars, or even starters, but several players are showing promise.  The defense is playing well.  We still need more talent and more experience.  Another high draft pick will help, but DC has drafted well in the later rounds, too.  Hopefully, Bortles will solve some of the turnover issues before this season is over and we won't see those rookie mistakes next year.  Also, the team is poised to make a couple of big moves in FA this offseason, so you could see a veteran signed at TE, FS, OL, or LB in 2015.

Speaking of tight ends, Marcedes Lewis will come back after the bye week. People have been saying Clay Harbor can't block very well, so that will help during the last five games.

Quote:Only positives for me is Telvin Smith and Allen Robinson. Caldwell's best two draft picks by far.

A Rob looks good so far.

Smith as well.

Denard late was a good pick.

Linder and Bowanko have played very well for rookie mid to late rounders.

Bortles has looked like a rookie QB usually does and we'll wait, but the optimist in me sees a very high ceiling for this kid.

Why so down on the draft picks that are all rooks or 2 year players?

The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
