Sanity Check

The Browns shot themselves in the foot as much as we played well.
We also turned the ball over 3 times, same as them, and still whooped their [BLEEP].  Youre kina miserable.

Quote:Agreed and I am glad they won...

However, I read some of this board and jaguars.com prior to watching the game and you would have thought we whooped up on them and that wasn't exactly the case.

I am willing to bet that there are Jags fans out there right now that would consider a Jags 1 point win, a blowout win.

Just let them have their fantasy, you won't be able to change their mind anyway, no matter how hard you try.

Quote:I wasn't able to see the game live (traveling) but after reading the hype following the game and then watching the game (Game Rewind) I saw some good things but certainly not the hype everyone seemed to have.

They are the Browns and not a good team.  The Jags won and that's obviously a good thing but there is more than plenty of room for improvement after this game.  I wouldn't call this a break out game or anything.  Looking ahead to the rest of the schedule, I don't see 1 more winable game outside of the Titans.

The Browns helped the Jags win as much as the Jags helped themselves.  There's plenty of good to build on from the game but I would wait to see more sustained improvement until acting like we just won the Super Bowl.

Am I the only one thinking this?
Can you explain to me how the

Dolphins, Giants, Texans twice, and Titans aren't winnable games.

Decent teams sure, but far from anything special at all.

I am going to celebrate the hell out of this win, it might be the last one for a while.

Even the game against the Bengals is a winnable game.  They aren't anything to be scared of.

Actually for about 3 1/2 quarters, it looked like neither team wanted to win this game.

Both teams shot themselves in the foot, several times at that.

The Browns just shot themselves more times then the Jags did and the Jags made plays to end the game.

Buddy the Jags also played good against the Steelers, a win in my dictionary is no different than beating the Seahawks. Win is a Win.

Quote:We can beat the Titans.  The bengals just got absolutely destroyed. Cowboys, Colts, and Ravens are guaranteed losses.  Giants are bipolar, and the texans are beatable.  I agree that the fan base is over hyping, but to say we can only win 1 more is ridiculous.

Rams just beat the Seahawks so there are no guaranteed losses.

What team that lost this weekend DIDN't shoot themselves in the foot?

We shot ourselves in the foot a couple times also.

Bradley also said enjoy the win for 24 hrs.  I don't know about you, but I would enjoy a Super Bowl victory a lot longer than 24 hrs.  Jus sayin

May as well be 0-7 imo. Browns suck imo. Same thing as beating no one imo.

Wasn't that also the game where MJD fumbled like 2 or 3 times?  But yeah, definitely remember Dilfer whimpering about "textbook example of a team beating themselves".

Quote:Ah, yes, I remember that game. Watching Trent Dilfer babble and whine after the Ravens lost to the lowly Jaguars about how the Jags didn't win, the Ravens beat themselves was truly a moment I won't ever forget.

if we continue to blitz and play press coverage, anything is possible.

Seriously, we can win the next 2 games.

The dolphins and the bengals are beatable.

I'm betting a good feeling about this Sunday...

phsss...  What??  The browns came in at 3-2, and just killed the squeelers...  They have a VERY GOOD running game that we just shut down.  We curb stomped their running game.  We made a pretty good overall offense look like...  well....  like us the first few games this year!

That's saying something.  We did well.  Especially on the D side of the ball.

Yeah, we didn't beat the Denver Broncos, but we beat a team that is not a bottom dweller this year.  It's a win to be proud of.

I think those of us posting on the board during the game realized the Browns were making dumb play after dumb play. None bigger than the muffed punt at the 2 yard line. Hoyer gave our defense props after the game though so I know we had a good game defensively which makes me hopeful they will do like we thought they would at the start of the season and keep us in games.

No pain, no gain.

This.  They won while Bortles had a horrible game, thats a sign of a good thing

We have a shot at the Dolphins. They're an inconsistent team. They look amazing one week (like last week vs Chicago) but then look awful the next week (like when they played the Bills and Chiefs).

That's what she said . . .

“It just shows what kind of team we are. We’re a tough team. We like contact. We’re very physical. We want the issue to be brought to us so we can show people we can stand up to it and overcome it. Seeing that’s just a symbol of our team and who we are.” - Jaguars DT Malik Jackson

It was a good win imo after dropping....9 straight imo?  The browns aren't horrible imo and the team needed a win imo to get that feeling back imo.  Hopefully the Jags can make it two straight this week.....imo.

Huh
