We will destroy the Chargers

#41

Quote:Seriously? I think that is high for both teams.

A more accurate guess would be 30-something Chargers, 10-20 Jaguars.
Rivers will have a field day with this team.  48 might be a bit conservative.   27 for the Jags cause san diego will be in prevent most of the 2nd half.

A few posters think that this could be a trap game with the unknown in Bortles but most believe the Chargers win easily as expected.

How does the new quarterback make it a trap game? I trought "trap game" means a terrible opponent right before an important game regardless of who the quarterbacks are.

Remember last week Colts fans were actually worried about us? LOL

How about 41-24? I think Bortles will do a good job giving our defense a break so when we punt, we are closer to the midfield logo than the end zone.

How can the Chargers score more than the Eagles, Redskins, and Colts?

Not saying we will win this game, but I haven't been this excited to watch a jags game in a long time.

Same here. I'm just excited to see BB play. I know they will most likely lose, but can't wait to see how the offense looks.

Youir signature is awesome.

I never thought I would be happy after a blowout loss, but just seeing #5 behind the center overrode my bad feelings about the defense.

The Chargers have been bit bad by the injury bug.

Quote:In other moves Tuesday, the Chargers signed outside linebacker Cordarro Law and inside linebacker Kevin Reddick to the roster while waiving defensive end Lawrence Guy. The Chargers have injury concerns at both LB spots. Inside linebacker Manti Te’o has a broken foot expected to keep him out multiple games, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Also, the club’s OLB depth is a concern. Reserve Reggie Walker suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s win at Buffalo, per theUnion-Tribune, and rookie Jerry Attaochu is dealing with a hamstring ailment.

Finally, the Chargers also signed rookie tailback D.J. Adams, third-year tight end David Paulson and rookie inebacker Colton Underwood to the practice squad, while safety Adrian Phillips was released.

Trap game + Bortles + Key injuries = Potential win?

Looks like we need to take advantage of their backup linebackers. That can only help the rookies.

SD is very hot, and since halftime of the eagles game our defense has gotton worse not better. Still missing way to many tackles.

But after Bortles came in, the defense showed noticeable improvement.

Luck was on the bench. Wayne was too shortly thereafter.  That helped our defense look better.  Might not have been the whole reason they were better --  but it mattered.

Not until midway through the fourth quarter. Did you see improvement in our defense before they went out?

Your score prediction looks realistic to me. BTW.

Quote:Ya had me until you said Toby would have 65 rushing yards.. Maybe if he were to get 60 carries.....

Ahem. I think you mean 120 carries, and the entire Charger's defense gets kidnapped by aliens.

I like how snowwolf just preaches about how we cannot win this game, but we magically win SIX games in a row after it. I want what he's drinking.

Quote:Branch, Marks, Clemmons, Bryant will have a combined total of 5 sacks and 13 quarterback hurries.  Poz will have a fumble recovery. Gratz will have a INT.  Cyprien will have a pick 6 and a highlight bone-jarring hit on Floyd.

You had me until you mentioned Poz. He's become a liability this year. Lost a step, and he was never a blazer.
