Blake Bortles time!

Huh. Who would have thought.

Is Taylor a radio analyst now? He wasn't one of the TV guys.

For a QB who is a rookie and not the focus of practice leading up to the game, he played very well.

I have been a fan of this team since day one and on this message board for as long as just about anyone. I dont post much cause of the negativity and trolls that populate this joint. However what I saw today gave me enough hope for this team I had to say something.

I believe

Quote:What is it about Bortles that made the offensive line play better? All of a sudden we could run the ball too whether Gerhart or Robinson was carrying it.

Partly maybe due to the adrenaline of the new QB in the game. Possibly it might also be due to Indy softening their defense due to being up 30-0 but I'm not smart enough to know if that was actually the case.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Looked great in very first NFL action. I'll take it. He will improve. Let's get him some weapons and improve the defense

If I had him on my team, it would only be because 32 other starting Qbs were injured or on a bye week.

According to NFL.com, the Colts were just going through the motions. But they intercepted Bortles twice, sacked himi in the end zone forcing a fumble, and did a great job defending some passes. Our offense had to be doing something better in the second half, not just taking advantage of the Colts.

and Indy sent 5 several times while Bortles was in, so you cant say that Indy just didnt care, and he dealt with it pretty good outside of a couple times.

Is this what you think happened? In this case, I'm still laughing.

A fumble in the end zone. 2 ints, one a pick 6. But some good plays too.

As many here have stated, he will have growing pains. But no one can be a savior with a defense that is absolutely horrible. Not bad. Friggin horrible.

Another butt whuppin. At our home opener.

I guess the coaches figured, without injecting something new, Everbank would be Ever Empty next home game.

Is this the worst start, first 3 games ever? Then the 4 th on the west coast against a pretty good Charger team.

do you understand that a better QB who can possess the ball and have meaningful drives will improve your defense?

they will have to play less snaps and everyone stays fresh

and im not saying that the defense is great, but i think they will be helped by better QB play

Our defense started bad today. But Henne did them no favors either. By halftime they had played almost a full game worth of time for a good team.

The defense looked better cause they actually got to sit down and enjoy their cool beverage and not get a squirt of water and have to be back on the field
