Well, I guess the positive that we can draw from this will be Allen Hurns starting in 2 WR sets.

Here's your chance to start to earn that full time promotion, #88!!

Quote:How is it that every year dude goes off to Camp Fitz, works out separate with others and then come real time he's busted up. He has got to be the unluckiest dude on the team. I sometimes wonder if those concussions are worrying him deep down and manifesting itself elsewhere. I'm no psychiatrist but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Just to give this thread a little perspective:

Cecil missed one game due to injury in 2012.  In 2013 he missed 3.

The perception being hashed out in this thread has been a bit unrealistic.   He showed a lot of toughness playing on the heels of that shoulder injury right away last year as well. Let's not write the 26 year old off just yet, alright?  He's had his issues - but he's been on the field quite a lot considering.

These injuries to Cecil are getting kind of annoying. I feel bad because he's a good player, but man I feel everyday there's a chance of something happening to him. Much like everyone else, but he just gives me that vibe.

LOL, the fact that he GOT that shoulder injury last year (added to all the rest) just lends more credence to china doll.

How's that?   Do you remember the play?  Have a clip for us?  Can you describe medically why another player wouldn't have sustained the exact same injury under the same duress?

Stop making stuff up.

Ummm, did you guys really expect anything different?  I could have told you yesterday that he wouldn't be practicing today, regardless if he is a go or no go Sunday.

I'm not "making stuff up". I'm noting the frequency and total of his injuries.

LOL. No you aren't. You're implying that he's a "chinadoll" because he sustained a sprained sternoclavicular joint and fractured rib vs the Broncos.  That's stupid unless you can prove that another player of similar build would have walked away unscathed.

BTW  - Shorts played the next week and caught 8 balls for 80 yards. (and he couldn't raise one arm over his head at the time)  Just stop.

I'm implying that he's a chinadoll based on the vast number of injury occurrences for this player over his relatively short (no pun intended) career.  I don't know how much more plain I can say it.

Yep. Missing Friday practice usually means not playing.

First we're talking shoulder. Now we're talking "vast number."  Whatever.  The fact remains that in two seasons he's missed 4 games.  Really "vast."

It's what the diva does.  It's not about being right.  It's about getting attention.  This poor sap must have been locked in a basement as a child.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
