Quote:So why wasn't Jordan Todman cut after the last preseason game? We don't need four running backs.
Who are you to say we don't need 4 RBs?

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:As of right now, that's spot on.  Nobody is saying Hurns won't develop.  That's just your idiotic myopia kicking in again.

You said theres more "talented" WR on the roster including Shorts", chief.

Shorts may be more productive (than Hurns)  at the onset, due to his starting in 2 WR sets, but he's not more talented than Hurns, at least IMO.  The talent will win out in the end.

So, once again your quote is rubbish.

How'd you arrive at the conclusion that Hurns is more talented?

Is it his speed, quickness, route running, etc.?

His route running (very smooth runner), quickness and sure hands.

He's not the fastest in straight line speed, but he has enough to make big plays as evidenced from his 18 YPC in Miami last year, and his 17 YPC in preseason.

I think you're overstating Hurns talent.  There are more talented receivers on the roster.  Anyone with two eyes and a brain can see that. This doesn't diminish what he potentially brings to the team, but to imply that he's the most talented receiver on this roster is just moronic.

Quote:I'm thinking Watson just hasn't had the reps given his injury while Reynolds is currently on the top of his game. I don't yet take this to mean they really feel Reynolds is better...rather, he's just more ready for week one.

And this is how I see it as well... D. Watt is the reason that we have the OTTO position. He'll eventually reclaim the position...

Reading comprehension. In the post you are responding to I state that Hurns is more talented than Shorts.

Robinson and Lee are likely more talented than Hurns, and Shorts.

I don't think Hurns is more talented than Shorts.  At best, they're pretty much on the same level talent wise, with the advantage going to Shorts because he's actually been an effective starting WR in the NFL.  Hurns has not seen a single snap.

This all goes back to your pathetic agenda since Shorts is on your "Players I hate" list.

Toby Gerhart averaged 3.2 yards per carry with 0 Touchdowns, Toddman average 2.2, Storm Johnson 2.1 during preseason

Last year D-Rob only rushed for 3.3 yards per carry with 3 fumbles 2 lost and no touchdowns.

Toby has 7 fumbles 6 lost during his career combined with D-Robs problems with fumbles I hope the coaches are working on protecting the ball....

All of which is behind a weak young Oline...

D-Rob did perform the best during preseason at rushing 4.4 yards per carry, and Toby wasnt 100% healthy nor did he get that many reps... so I'm staying postive that their wont be

any problems with rushing but I can see why they have 4 HBs.

The injury Gerhart suffered after coming here was enough of a concern to make sure we had adequate depth.  Keeping 4 RBs is almost a necessity.

As far as the running game, it will hopefully improve as the line gels.  That's inevitably going to happen as the unit plays together.  It'll be a rough start to the season, but things should get progressively better.

His agenda certainly does.  He can't distinguish between agenda and reality. That requires the kind of mental horsepower he lacks.

If you put the football close to your ear you can almost hear the faint, Bortles to Lee Touchdown over and over again!

Is it unreasonable to assume that Lee and Robinson are more talented than Hurns at this point, given the same GM/scouting department/coaching staff scouted them all in the same draft class and acquired all three in a specific order, or is your beef basically about Shorts being seen as more talented than Hurns?

If it's the former, why do you think Lee and Robinson are NOT more talented than Hurns?

If it's the latter, then why object to the sentiment there are more talented WRs on the roster than Hurns?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

you are putting too much thought into it.  he's just saying it to say it for shock value.  there is no analysis behind it.

I objected to his specific mention of Shorts being more talented.
