Adams or Hooker?

Two different players at different positions; with that said I'd choose Hooker. He creates more turnovers. Both will be great safety's in this league..

Adams had 4 picks last year. Teams probably stopped throwing at him this year.

I don't like Hookers tackling ability but to the people saying they would rather have an elite Dline guy over an elite saftey, are Barnett and Williams elite to you?
yes

I'd have to go with Adams. Reminds me of Sean Taylor so much. Definitely not there yet like he was but he's close. He's always around the ball and likes to thump.
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!
They're both fantastic, can't go wrong either way. If we switch to a 2 high look then Hooker, if we stay the cover 3 we have now then Adams.
Adams is a bit safer. Hooker makes the insane plays but he also gives some up that he shouldn't.
Give me Adams, I know 4 is high for a safety but if we go defense I hope we reach just a bit for Adams. The guy is like a magnet to the football, I like this guy more and more with the idea of him and Ramsey in the backfield
Quote:It is quite possible that the consensus "best choices" for the Jaguars, J. Allen and Garrett, will be gone when the Jaguars are on the board. If they are unable to trade back at this point, who would be a better choice for them, Jamal Adams or Malik Hooker? Both appear to have elite talent and have drawn comparisons to Sean Taylor (Adams) and Ed Reed (Hooker). It would be hard to pass on both these guys if the comparisons are accurate. The thing about Gipson is, safeties don't get a lot of interceptions without a pass rush. Also, safeties get a lot of interceptions when the opposing team is behind and in desperation mode, just heaving the ball downfield. (We're sort of familiar with that.) But we're not ahead very often. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'd pass on safety and see if Gipson can improve. Adams and Hooker are nice prospects, but I still have faith in Gip.
Shock the world

Quote:Gipson would still play if you draft Adams. Gipson at FS and Adams at SS. Sounds good to me. In a crazy world I would love the Jags to sign Berry and draft Adams. Either can play Ss/FS at any time so you could disguise defenses so well. Won't happen but it's fun to think of. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I think Hooker is the better of the two. He is an absolute ball hawk with really great hands too. Some of the catches I have seen him make in games remind me of OBJ. With him and Ramsey back there, we would have a great pass defense.
If Allen and Garrett are gone, what I would ask is whether you take Hooker or Barnett. To answer another poster: Yes, I think Barnett is about on par with Allen or Garrett. Barnett and Hooker are both elite prospects.
Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.
Quote:I'd pass on safety and see if Gipson can improve. Adams and Hooker are nice prospects, but I still have faith in Gip. There's nothing wrong with Gipson. It's the lack of pass rush. Interceptions happen mostly because of pass rush. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Eddie Jackson in the third too. Though he should rise to the 2nd pretty easily...
Evans and Jackson look good. As far as names go, you cant go wrong drafting Budda Baker or Fish Smithson! Gotta have a safety with the name Fish back there.
