maybe it has to do with weak calves or some other leg/foot muscle that is under developed and not used to the footwork they are trying to implement. Will be something to keep an eye because eventually a slip like that is gonna cost him.

Really? Maybe it's cause I didn't get a good view since I was in the stands, but I've rarely seen Bortles slip this much. I've also seen him since he first started and attended all of the UCF home games. Regardless, this is something fixable.

It was either -1 yardage, back to the line, or +1 yardage I don't remember lol. But still, he showed how tough he can be to take down by regaining that yardage lost from the slip. He may not be so lucky next time and that can easily result in a fumble, so he definitely needs to fix that.
