Quote:What felonies was Trayvon convicted of?

Are you worried about convictions or felonies that he's committed?

He committed Aggravated Assault against Zimmerman, Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime (on another date), ... and speculation here, but he probably committed Burglary too since they found women's jewelry on him (on another date).

He's a criminal who attacked a stupid man.

There's more to the list. I wasn't going to bother wasting my time with someone as clueless as that poster. If she wants to learn to use google, more power to her.

Also, I wasn't going to bother explaining the difference between a felon and a convicted felon. It's simply over her head.

Is there such a thing as a "white Hispanic"?

It was a term invented by the race baiters to generate as much controversy as possible.

Yes there is. Hispanic isn't a race.

O.K.

So what about the term "African American"?  Is there such a thing?  If so, what is it?

This thread is as silly as the happy new year thread. He can kick whomever the hell he wants off his property. In sure the guy was a 25 handicap weasel anyway and deserved it.

Great Presidential attributes. Americans have degraded the office of President to a worldwide joke.

I'm not seeing the connection between presidential attributes and Hurts entitlement to play a private golf course.

Not exactly true either. You don't call a white American from (say) Egypt an African American.

And considering the distant past, we can all trace our ancestry back to Africa.

Isn't all human life traced back to mitochondrial DNA of Africa? That whole Cradle of Life, Mesopotamia thing?

Personally, I loathe the term African American. I never found the word black to be offensive. Not when used in Black History Month or the James Brown classic, "I'm Black and I'm Proud."

Of course, I hesitate to mention this as I am also a white Hispanic. It may not qualify as a race to some, but the government makes sure Hispanic is an option on a variety of classifying documents I have filled out over the years.

Yes, pointing out the stupid lengths to which we go to make divisions berween human beings is extremely serious business.

That government form will be hugely important as the numbers of hispanics/latinos exceed those of Afro-based minorities. There's tremendous power in being the Majority Minority group.

And don't you ever hesitate to talk about these things, we may not agree but no one should ever make you feel like you can't have your say.
