Now that Christmas is over, what big changes are you expecting personally in 2017?

Quote:Mostly moving back to the USA and hopefully Florida. Anywhere but the panhandle will do. Already had an interview at Jacksonville Naval Hospital, really hoping to get that job because I like the area I plan to move to. I can renew my season tickets just as the Jags finally make the playoffs (fingers crossed) and win the division. This may sounds crazy but I miss seeing hummingbirds they don't have them here in Europe
Where are you in Germany? I lived in Stuttgart and loved every minute I was over there. That was back in 2000-2003 so I'm sure things have changed.

Quote:If it makes you feel any better, I've had 5 in the same time period. Not little ones either. They were significant. If my radiation doesn't work, they will reconstruct my entire right arm, basically replacing the humorous. That's two major joint reconstructions on the same limb. Not looking forward to that. Then again, if that doesn't work, they'll amputate my entire right arm and shoulder altogether.
I feel for you. I can't imagine having more than I did in that time frame. Two was enough.

I'm apparently just going to be a LOT busier.

My music-work calendar was a bit slow early last year outside of the group I tour with about 120 days a year or so.  So - I thought I'd put a few more irons in the fire.  It's turned into a "be careful what you ask for" situation now as I've got lots of preparation to do for a number of different projects.

A couple of them may prove lucrative and career-advancing, so if you guys don't hear from me for a while it's because I've got the nose to the 'ol grindstone trying to get that axe extra sharp.

What do you do in the music biz?

Mostly performing and recording.  I get some work doing arranging and co-producing a few times a year as well. I write original music for my personal projects when there's time for one of those.

I play a "wind instrument" and work in bands that have horn sections often and I also do a fair amount of jazz work.  The jazz side of my career is why I was in NYC for nearly 14 years.

I was able to stick to my 2016 resolution and it made me feel great. For 2016 I resolved to not spend any money on clothes, shoes, jewelry or purses unless it was a necessity. I only bought a black bra  and a bathing suit because my old ones fell apart. I have a closet full of clothes so it's not like I had nothing to wear. I don't want to work until I am 100 so I am trying to work on my spending. I will go shopping to purchase a few necessities on January 2 and then will extend my shopping ban for 2017 and also include household items. Happy New Year!
