Matt Scott released

'MURRICA!

Seriously though, Childs had a ton of ability. Just remains to be seen how much is left after all the injuries. Price is an intriguing three-tech guy, though I think he'd have a very long road to the 53 with Marks and Hood in front of him.

He may have missed on him, but he picked out Ace Sanders and Josh Evans and both are going to see a tonne of action here for better or worse.

I hope Childs is able to bounce back somewhat he was one of my favorite WRs when he came out

It's hard to say that someone "missed" on a UDFA.

Wait, wait, wait. I need to stock up my hot dog cart before everyone starts jumping. Another bottle of mustard and I'm on my way. Might as well cash in.

Best of luck to him, but thankful I can stop reading questions in the O-Zone about him becoming an All-Pro.

i'm not upset just think anyone on this board who would defend Gabbert over any QBs needs to sign out of the board and never return.

Remember Isaac Smolko? The backup nobody at tight end that prompted a storm of angry Ask Vic questions upon his release? Ah, the good old days. Vic might have put a "Matt Scott moratorium" into effect already.

Given our uncertainty in the interior offensive line, I am kinda rooting for Antoine Caldwell.

Yea, I remember that.  How about the DE who had a few sacks in the preseason a couple of years ago and then was cut.  I can't remember his name, but people were so mad we cut him.

If I remember correctly, he graded out worse than He Who Shall Not Be Named in the preseason last year...that's how bad he was.

I'm rooting for Jerome Junior because of his name.

What's there to defend? What happened speaks for itself. Gabbert played awful, Henne played less awful, and Matt Scott never played.

He played in a preseason game. He was worse than awful.

Gabbert will have a 10 year career in the NFL. Matt Scott will be out of football in 18 months.

Does that make you sad?

He's telling the truth. I remember watching the Inside the Jaguars:Training camp reports on jaguars.com last season. If it wasn't someone on defense (mainly Cyprien) Matt Scott had the play of the day with a 30+ yard throw to some no name WR.

It was practice though and he was playing against third and fourth stringers. Nothing to get all bent out of shape about.

Vic hyped Smolko up a lot though. I remember he wrote a couple decent bits on him. Didn't Smolko also play LB for the Jags? He was a likable guy. I miss him. Sure his on-field production wasn't anything to write home about, but its not like the team has had many TE's setting the world on fire anyway. Sad

And Matt Scott is still a better QB than Gabbert.

It's funny how you Gabby lovers twist things

Henne isn't better than Gabbert even tho he is, because Gabbert is young and has potentials!!@@!@

Doesn't apply for Scott who hasn't been given an actual chance? Seems like a double standard.
