Quote:Bills offensive coordinator, their offense and team sucks, another Gus Bradley type failure If we go with a non HC experienced candidate, Lynn would be very good. Hes from the Parcells coaching tree. Just took over as OC after Roman was fired. Theyve been much better since they took over and hasnt implemented his system since he took over midseason.
Hard pass on McDaniels. Can anyone that's for hiring him clearly articulate what HE specifically has accomplished? Something that can't be tied to arguably the greatest QB in NFL history Tom Brady or arguably the greatest head coach in NFL history Bill Belichick. I can't and that's why I think hiring him would be a mistake.
Put me in the Harbaugh, Saban or Coughlin camps. And I know the first two are highly unlikely.

FYI-
That Belichick guy was a sucky retread with only one winning season as head coach of the Browns. ![]()
Quote:Not done anything since his last SB win. Yeah, that's kind of funny. Since he beat Bill Belichick in the Super Bowl for the second time, he hasn't done anything! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
For me it's boiling down to these three in this order.
1. David Shaw from Stanford (Current HC) 2. Tom Coughlin from Parts Unknown (Just kidding, we all know who the hell Tom is and what he brings to the table) 3. Mike Smith from Tampa Bay (Current DC) ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king." Quote:There is far more interest in the Jaguars job than there was 4 years ago.Not surprising in either instance. 4 years ago, there were still questions about the new owner to be answered, and a roster that was in desperate need of a total overhaul. 4 years later, the questions about Khan's commitment are in the rear view mirror, and there's a good nucleus of young talent along with a truckload of cap space to work with. That makes this a pretty appealing situation for anyone qualified for the job. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Im buying into the Mcdaniels hire more and more. That's good, because I'm drifting farther and farther away from the idea, and usually me disagreeing with you gives me a sense of personal validation that is too great to ignore.
When was the last time a Belichick assistant went on to success in the league? Sorry, but I'm not excited about McDaniels as our head coach unless he's bringing Tom Brady along for the ride.

Someone explain why we can't beat out the Rams for whoever we want? Kroneke is a lizzard man with a cold dead heart. LA is a bandwagon town that can't even make it through season one without disappearing from the stands. You have 2 years in toilet bowl of a stadium before having the most unrealistic expectations of all time thrust on you.
Jacksonville you have beach living and southern hospitality with a fan base waiting to kick down the doors for a winner. Oh and no State Income Tax!
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011 Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

I've said it repeatedly in various threads, but the all of the "no good coach wants to come here" crowd is full of it.
Just like they were full of it when they said "Caldwell will make a new coach start Bortles." He stated that wasn't the case in his presser and I'd bet good money Blake has real competition in camp in July.
Sure there's interest. This team is primed for a big increase in wins in 2017, and I don't just say that as a fan. Not at all predicting a playoff spot, but giving them credit for 3 wins this year, would anyone be surprised if we go 7-9 or 8-8 next season? The new coach will look like a genius if that happens.

Exactly my reasoning. Things are bad enough without us repeating mistakes nearly a third of the league has already made. That would only serve to further the embarassment, which if 2016 has shown us anything, it's that things can and do get worse. Quote:There is far more interest in the Jaguars job than there was 4 years ago.Well we have good players now Which is why Dave has done a decent job and should get one more shot
