I heard an analyst say that he can show you about 70 plays where Manziel makes his first read, the guy is wide open, but he doesnt throw it. Is that a concern for anybody?

 

Not really, he looks for the bigger play....the important thing is that he actually makes reads. I would be more concerned if he locked onto his primary read.

 

Also while 70 plays sounds like a huge number, he also attempted 429 pass plays (and this doesn't include times when he scramble for yards, or got sacked, etc) But anyway only factoring the 429 pass attempts that is only 16% of the time.

 

I can live with that, even though that percentage is probably less, until it starts effecting his ability to put points on the board.

Considering he threw for 4000+ yards skipping his primary receiver, I would say no.

If the Jaguars are gonna take a QB in round 1, i think Johnny Jaguar is the right fit. Think about how Jedd Fisch could use Johnny Football. Now i am not saying Johnny Jaguar or Johnny Football is the right choice at 3, but i would be happy with the pick. Add in the fact that Johnny Jaguar's OT is our LT and maybe just maybe its a sign?
