I was watching NFL live when he said it.

He also said he is the most dominant defensive football player he has ever seen.  I can find a link for that one.

Barr is obviously a raw player due to his lack of experience at the position. He has very little technique and that is something that can be learned, but on the other hand, there is the possibility that he may never learn. thats why i wouldnt draft him that high. meanwhile someone like Mack, he has everything you want. even if barr has the potential to be better than mack it wouldnt be by much and youre putting your faith in something that may never come to fruition.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Interesting.

Over the weekend, I heard Kiper on ESPN Radio. He said if not for Clowney, Mack would be the first pick. He also said he would be shocked if Watkins did not become a sure-fire #1 receiver. Makes me feel good about having the third pick.

Let me just say--I like Mack. But it would be easier to look like a finished product against the level of competition he faced. You can cite the Ohio State tape but that's a very small sample size. Can Mack do it consistently in the NFL?

Barr reminds me of a raw DeMarcus Ware and Jason Pierre-Paul. He could be a homerun.

The really compelling thing about Barr is his production this past season. Even after everyone knew what a threat he was and that they needed to minimize his impact, he still put up some rather gaudy production stats.

I keep going back and forth and changing my mind over who will be better at the next level between Barr and Mack. I know that I've made statements about them before, but I'm not convinced about either choice to be honest.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Both LBers received excellent coaching that would prepare them for the professional atmosphere in the NFL.

Mack was coached up by Lou Tepper, who did his diligence in preparing the top 3 picks in '96 of Kevin Hardy and Simeon Rice while he was at Illinois and Jim Mora polished up Anthony Barr. Both have received top notch coaching so the translation to the professional game should not be much of a hurdle.

With that said, I prefer Barr. But I would cringe at both options at #3 overall.
