Scout says Manziel's a better Qb than Russell Wilson

Lol, ok...so you're just delusional. I'll bet you don't think he has a history with recreational drugs either huh, even though both are very well documented?

He went through therapy, its called being a kid, kids drink.

I rolled on the floor laughing, With all those missed reads in the pocket Manziel had to improvise. If he had just stuck to the play book (or just be Teddy Bridgewater) A&M would have been in the National Title hunt late

Johnnys QB coach said he is the best competitor he ever met, he would wake up early and begin training, he is incredibly underrated by the teddy nutsuckers.
Did you even read the article? The parts where Johnny's dad says that he drinks to handle the stress of being a public figure? Or the bit about how he drank alcohol, ate Skittles and won a Heisman Trophy? Dude, I hate to break it to you, but Johnny drinks as hard as Tebow prays.

He's got an exceptional playing style, I'll give you that, but this guy's got more red flags than a bullfighting ring. There's a very good chance that his college performance isn't repeated in the NFL, and if it doesn't, how's he going to handle it? How will he handle looking at the news on Monday morning and seeing fan quotes talking about how bad of a game he had? What happens when he gets on Twitter the night after a boneheaded throw costs his team the game? How do you know he's not going to go Kerry Collins on you and quit on the team in the middle of a season? The guy might be the best of all time (he's not), but who cares if he pulls a Vince Young partway into his second year? He's not worth the risks or the headaches, especially when two players of very similar talent (albeit different playing styles) are right up there with him at the top of the board?

Would you rather have Garop in the 3rd or Manziel with the 3rd overall?

Garoppolo in the third, even though I wouldn't be crazy about taking him that high. This feels like last year's draft, with a handful of artificially-hyped prospects at the QB position. Someone's going to overdraft Manziel to try and bring that "spark" to their team--Cleveland?--but it wouldn't surprise me if Bridgewater or Bortles are still there late in one, and a trade back into the first round to grab them makes sense. I also think we could do a lot worse than Derek Carr with our second-round pick if we look to another position at three.

Yikes that's kinda tough I'm not a big JimmyG fan either, but at 3 we need a real elite impact so I'd go elsewhere at 3 and reach a bit for Garoppolo in the 3rd.

I'll be honest, I would never consider Manziel at 3.  However if we drafted him, I'd be really excited.  Just think of all the attention and excitement.  You know every preseason game would be a nationally televised event.  More 1pm CBS nationally televised games.

up until everyone realizes Manziel isnt a future all pro, the attention dies, and we return to relative obscurity.

Haha, I would say the same. I am a Jags fan first and foremost so of course I would root for JFF to prove me wrong with all of my heart, but I would not be optimistic.

Best QB since Rodgers. Not sure you can expect more from a second year player

Quote:Explain how Teddy is the safer choice, I don't see why Manziel has a higher probability of being bad. Is he not the most accurate passer in the nation(Including passes over 30 yards *cough* teddy *cough*)? How would Manziel bust, he is a hard worker, mobile, strong arm, accurate. I'm asking an honest qeustion, if you can back it up with game film i will accept it, do NOT include LSU or Mizzou, he was forced to play through a serious shoulder injury because Texas A&M is nothing without him.

Don't forget the swollen right thumb from the Miss St. game. He couldn't grip the ball right and struggled throwing. He was back to normal for the Duke game.

Quote:Would have love to have seen Manziel face weaker conference opponents like Bridgewater did..
Straw man....Louisville would have had to ditch their pro style offense and go to something simple where the qb only makes one read from the shotgun then runs.
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

Just read a Bucky Brooks article that said 17 QB coaches prefer David Carr over Manziel

If you think Johnny does not have more than two reads you didn't watch A&M. Johnny would sit in the pocket for 4-5 seconds , then scramble for 3-4 giving his receivers time to get open. One read sounds more like Teddys west coast offense.

you are as ridiculous as your screen name and clearly don't understand football offenses to make that statement.
