Carr

Just watched the past 2 drives from him.  People talk up his "touch" - but he's sailed two of those type of passes already.  I noticed it in his cut-ups too.  He also attempts to finesse it in there sometimes when he should be drilling it.   It's probably something a good QB coach could fix, but it bothers me.

I like that he can throw a variety of trajectories - but the "lob" isn't very  accurate and he uses it at the wrong times too often.

From what I've seen today, his touch passes are on target, just maybe a foot in front of the receiver. Chalk that up to the pressure.

He clearly sailed two of them well beyond or out of the reach of the intended receiver in my book.   He was under duress in one of them - so if you are adjusting stats - there's that.

Gonna ignore the obvious jab there. Not every throw has been spot on but hes playing a good game thus far.

And that was his worst pass all game.

Well, this is an excellent situation for him to be in.  Need to see how he does when the pressure's on.  Perhaps he'll adjust, but he very much has happy feet and is rushing his throws right now.

Didn't intend a jab, Kodiak.

(if you mean the 'adjusting stats'  thing - it is useful to adjust stats in evaluation at times - that's part of the reason the Jags have an analytics dept. So that was just a statement - not a jab.)

I enjoy your breakdowns and will continue to read most of them.  I just find myself not seeing as many positives in this particular QB as you have attributed to him.

Yeah. I figured this would happen because his offensive line has struggled all year, as has his defense. The game will come down tohim carrying his team.
