I got a chuckle -  but he's losing a significant amount of money and his level of play was so much greater than Mincey's it spoils the comparison quite a bit.

Both are being held accountable for repeat issues. But one receives a more harsh punishment than the other because of his star status and potential. One loses his job. The other remains employed but suspended.



Unemployment doesn't equal employment. Are those equal punishments to you?


It happens all the time around the league, not just the Jaguars. The scrub backup player gets to be made an example of while the star player gets chance after chance after chance.

Not just the weight of the contract; but also the weight of the player.  Mincey was getting fat, slow, and ineffective.  Thanks for the good times, Mince.  

 

   Yet he had 2 sacks compared to Tysons 1.5 yet he got paid much less Andre Branch as 4 sacks... isnt the job to sack the QB at DE?

His job also entails actually showing up to work.  Something he continually failed to do.
