Hello from a Seahawks fan
|
Gus has a great relationship with Dave Caldwell, the GM. Those two are essentially joined at the hip in the quest to turn the Jags around. Hiring Gus was Caldwell's first major decision. So far Caldwell's first draft and Gus's first season coaching have given fans here a serious dose of hopium.

Quote:There's little doubt from this prespective the Seahawks seem to be fairing much better without Papa Gus.Please stop posting. Quote:I kind of like these sympathy posts from the outside. :thanks: Was thinking the same thing. Look at me and my hot team, we are so high and mighty. Hope you little ones can come close in a few years. How many SB titles for the Hawks again? Do they get it this year? If they win NFC title, I say Broncos handle them in big party, Pats should outsmart them too. Outstanding talent up yonder in Washington but they can still be as brash and cocky as their Caroll and still have to prove eliteness. Good luck to you all :teehee:
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars.
Quote:I Glad you appreciate the Harley mechanic comparison. Vaaarrroooomm. Vaaarrroooomm. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT! Gus is alright. I think he's riding things out. He was hurt badly by not having experience within the division. It is different here. I try not to foolishly convince myself that what we are seeing in trash-time has a basis in reality. Fans here don't seem to be aware of late-season surges by non-winning teams. They usually relate more to sluggish, unmotivated players sensing their future employment is in peril than something that is being said over and over and over again sinking in. The plan isn't to sell the team to London. It's likely that Khan will move the team. Enjoy success. As they say, it's Not For Long.

Quote:You should get teased if you like 3 NFL teams. I hate baseball, but if I liked it, I would always root against the Yankees. There is absolutely nothing wrong with liking more than one NFL team because they are all in different divisions. I assume you are referring to the huge upset in 1997. That was eight months before I became a Jaguars fan, so I was mad. Quote:...... Fans here don't seem to be aware of late-season surges by non-winning teams. So our "late season" currently has us past the vikes, falcons, bucs, redskins and texans. Glad our sluggish players "woke up". I don't think your opinion on Khan is shared by anyone else here.
Because Jaguars is our mantra
