I see no issue with discussing it here.  He's a QB in the upcoming draft and we are discussing his playing ability.  Because someone does not agree with an assessment or view of yours does not mean they need to go to another thread, JW.  I like Manziel and I think he's been given too much flack for his actions and attitude.  However I don't see his style of play (coupled with his size and abilities) translating well to the next level.  He'll be given a chance to prove me and others wrong.

The question is strictly about trading up to solve the quarterback position. Making him a WR would mean he is not worth trading up for.

I don't think that Manziel at QB is a good option and I hope and pray Caldwell agrees.  I don't have any problem with a team taking a risk on him but he's just that, a BIG risk.  This franchise cannot afford to take that risk in it's current stages.  On top of the fact that he plays like a chicken with his head cut off, he's short AND skinny.  His body may hold up for a period of time but I'd say the odds are highly, highly against that happening in the NFL.  I don't want him to fail but I don't see him being able to play the way he did in college.  He'll need to switch spots or struggle.  That's how I see it, we'll see soon if that's the case.  It won't take long to find out.

I hope nobody here is thinking that I'm advocating the Jaguars to do this with Manziel.  I don't want him on this roster and I don't see any place for him here at any position.

If the bad things about Manziel are true - and I really don't know if they are - he is off my wish list. We need a low-risk quarterback who is able to stay at his current position.

I'm not sure there is a 'low' risk selection at QB.  Rarely if ever is that truly the case but Manziel is just too much of a risk for me and I simply don't see him as a QB at the NFL level.
