It Makes Me Sick...

#41

Quote:Lol, come on now, we got a guy who can pick good football players, we no longer need the #1 pick so our bad GM can't screw it up. The days of fearing the draft are over.
Is anyone else aware of this?

I want to be happy, but fear being sad about being happy.

I wish this all weren't so darn complicated. :/

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

It's all about the QB. If you have the QB it doesn't matter what else is on the team because team is spelled Q-B. Chad Henne is 3-1 since the bye week so he's obviously a QB you can build a team around.

While the younger guys are improving (and it is a young mans game now days) this year and after a 2014 draft crop of good players at positions of need....

it will take the whole team up a notch or two, then after the  2015 draft...LOOK OUT MAMA. Banana

I had to listen to all the crying because we were losing, now complain because we are winning! Is that the way to support a team, fans! This years collage group of quarter backs have not produced a undisputed first round pick. It is more important to see a coach take a limited talented team and get them playing above expectations. creating an atmosphere of hard work that will pay off in the future with talented players. I will trust Caldwell to draft the right players to allow Gus to bring back respect to this franchise. Five games ago all you armchair GMs were mad because Bradley was not taking a hard line with the players, and now your crying because he is not losing games to get the first round pick. Most of the true Jaguar fans that post here are very excited to win and see there team improve. Go Jaguars!

Henne stinks but is making a strong case to stick around on the roster as a back-up. I know winning stinks I do miss the days not too long ago where the country was making a mockery of the city and team on every sports station coast to coast while we played like a division 3 team.

No pain, no gain.

It's like they don't even realize there is only one good player in this upcoming draft.

Bridgewater is so freaking overrated anyway.  And even if he turns out to be the next great QB, I'd love to see our defense go against him and Luck over the next 15 years.  We beat Manning year after year so why should we believe that getting an elite QB is the answer.

We are not guaranteed to have a chance at Clowney with our draft position the way it is right now, especially if we keep winning.

A lot of people also have Manziel going in RD1 so we'd be lucky if he fell to RD2.

In the words of the great and powerful Colonel Nathan R. Jessup - who has a really, really cool first name:

<p style="margin-left:40px;">"[contemptuously] You
[tremendously bad word removed]ing people... you have no idea how to defend a nation city. All you did was weaken a country team today, Kaffee Bradley. That's all you did. You put people's lives sportsfandom in danger. Sweet dreams, son.

All solid wins versus Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum, and Brandon Weeden led football teams. I am excited.

Well, I gotta say, that yesterdays win was a bit more impressive than the other 2.

It was the first one of the 3 that I felt that the Jags actually won rather than the opponent outsucking us.

Sarcasm.

We were so happy beating Indy (in a meaningless game) which enabled them to get Luck.

Now we're happy winning these games which may enable Houston to find their franchise QB for the next 15 years.  These victories are nice but they may come with a long term cost that will negatively impact our ability to win the division.  I'd be much happier if it were not Houston looking at the #1 pick.

So hiking the ball over the QB's head for a safety for the Jags to take the lead is impressive to you?

Are you becoming soft on us?

I hope that doesn't happen. Houston getting -the guy- at QB would be a disaster for us.
