Quote:they probably gutted the palybooks defensively during the bye and have been practicing just what they've decided is working, make them more comfortable in it and thus more productive.Thats what a good coach would do. It was obvious the previous 8 weeks did not work. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I think his comparative success is down to Bradley using him in a way that minimizes his flaws with the loops round allowing him to get up to speed and attack a guard or tackle and overwhelm them with pure pace
his increased production in the run game suggests overall improvement however his flaws are still the same Lack of strength to deal with tackles in a straight up battle Lack of agility /finesse to misdirect the tackle and allow him to use his speed to get to the qb until he builds one or the other he will continue to be a non entity against qbs with a quick release or basic pocket presence

Cymbal crash anyone?

But I also think that is part of what made Carroll and Bradley successful in Seattle. They played to the strength of the player. Look at Bruce Irvin. Not a great all-around end but a great pass rush. So they use him in that role and it works.

Branch and David looked good tonight against the Texans.
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle. 2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game. 3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays. Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
