if mike mayock and mcshay came on tv and said something like "Hundley needs a little work but he is gonna be a a combination of cam Newton and Peyton manning," there would be 40 people on this board talking about drafting him.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Do I think it's exciting to have QBs that can run? Of course. But is a 4.4 burner of a QB worth his lack of mental game? No.

Would I want to have Clowney, the first really dominant presence on our line in years and arguably one of the best prospects since LT? Sure. Do I think he affects the course of the game as much as a star QB? Of course not.

Not to be snide or anything. I just am pretty darn sure we're gonna be picking first, and I trust Caldwell to take one of the best QB prospects of the new millennium.

Head - TB drafts #1, we draft #2.  We have an easier schedule in the 2nd half + we'll get a cheap win vs Indy in week 17.  We trade down

Heart - Sign Cutler, Alex Mack ©, and an OG ---  trade down and get Manziel + picks

Gut - see Head.  We need more than Clowney @ #2.  Plus, he's a nice highlight film but not a game changer like Freeney and others.

Defenders are much bigger and faster.  Harder for the QB/RB to get to the edge (sideline).

head: clowney (tampa draft 1 clowney is too good a prospect to pass up)

heart: teddy, i think he is the best chance at a qb that will improve us straight away

gut: mariota, i can just caldwell seeing all that potential at pick 2, taking him, our terrible line (which will be even younger and more inexperienced next year ruining him and us being back here in three years

Quote:I wouldn't worry. I know young kids like you are easily swayed by the morons on ESPN and other sites that are artificially overhyping Mariota so they can get the RG3/Luck drama flowing, but he's not even close.

You're heart needs to be looked at by a medical doctor.
I avoid ESPN, except for watching live games, like the plague. I do however watch as many live games, and then cutups on top of that, as possible. Mariota is a very good prospect, and if he clicks he can/will be better than Teddy. Obviously riskier and why I said Teddy is the right call, but if Mariota become better down the road no one should be surprised in the least.

No possible way, just like there was no possible way that UCF could beat Louisville.  Oh wait, I mean anyone that knows college football knew UCF had a great shot at beating Louisville.

McShay did come on TV during a UCLA game and say that Hundley needs to stay another year at UCLA so he can polish his mechanics and game.

What does that have to do with Marcus Mariota?

I think he's right. But if you believe the reports from this week, he is positioning himself to declare.

If he comes out, that will be a huge mistake.  I think he falls out of the first round entirely.

No doubt. Hundley is terrible. If Jax drafts him, I'm done.

Be careful. You will get an entire message board now rooting for them to pick Hundley.

Another "real fan".

Watch out - there will now be a groundswell for Hundley.

And we know how sharp you are when it comes to scouting pro QBs.

If we draft Hundley, we better get Jameis next year because we will be in the position to.
