So I watched my first ever 'live' NFL game last night in London ...

Quote:You guys bring new meaning to the word jaded lol. You sound like boxers who have done 12 rounds with Ali and you just want the pain to stop. That about sums it up, Dave. We're all looking forward to next year's draft when we hopefully will land a competent QB. Aside from that - all we can do this year is hope to see a few rookies grow into quality players as the losing season grinds on. This is what happens when the GM and coach are fired and 37 of the 53 active players are new. (most of them rookies or undrafted lower tier types) Year one of a total rebuild is tough my friend. It'll be better next season. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Help us out here Dave. Get a petition going around the UK asking Shad Khan to keep that joke of a team over in Jacksonville that you Londoner's don't care for it.

Quote:One in particular had abs that looked like someone had sculpted them in a workshop before applying them to her stomach That's a common practice Quote:Im so so sorry you had to watch that mess.... Ah at the moment NFL Europe offers us a Gabbert Home Jersey and a MJD Road Jersey. We don't get much choice! With the game over here at Wembley Nike's UK site started offering a bit more choice (Cecil Shorts III, Blackmon, Poz, Cyprien) but give it a month and then we will be back to two again. If we order from NFL.Com or from the Jags site we get huge postage costs then get stung for import taxes on top which pretty doubles the cost of the item. that's if its one of the itme they will actuall send over here. Getting Jags stuff is a nightmare. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

BTW, my experience in London can be basically summed up as "The NFL in London: The Quest for Free WiFi." I also got to meet John Oehser and the Roar (again). And Daniel Murphy, but I already mentioned that.
I'm another Brit on here, been a NFL fan since the early 80's when TV coverage began over here, Montana, Theismann, Marino etc.
Just like to tell you guys that I picked the Eagles as my team, just because that's the first city in the States I visited and have always followed them. I went to the Wembley game and I have got to say, despite all the pre game stuff about the 49ers and how easy it will be for them. I was really rooting for the Jags, the stadium, which is magnificent, was really made to feel like the Jags place. I was impressed with Jones-Drew who worked really hard for the team, Blackmon and Brown also stuck at it. I think next year they need to sit all the Jags fans and 'second team' Jags like me together so we can make more noise than the C**boys (Cos' nobody likes the C**boys....right?) Anyway, good luck to you guys for the rest of the season, I'll definitely be rooting for you, and waiting for that first win....soon! |
