Dear Mr.Khan it is more then obvious that the G.M. the coach and coordinators are in some agreement to throwing the towel in on this season and building for the future. Is it fair to the fans who wait all off season for football, to be put through this? Is this fair to the season-ticket holders who bought their tickets after last years horrible season! We as fans deserve to see quality on the field, We shouldnt see a huge turnaround in players, but still see the core players who deserve to be gone still playing, referring to the QB position..I believe in rebuilding, but not this way. YOU HAVE TO GO FORWARD NOT BACKWARDS!

 

They are not throwing in the towel but how can you get better with:

 

1) Blaine Gabbert as your starter

2) Blaine Gabbert as your starter

3) A bum MJD

4) A hurt Lewis

5) A Shorts who can't catch

6) Constantly picking up PS scraps from other teams.

 

No this isn't the year for getting better. It is the year for evaluating and finding pieces that might have a future here.

You would rather win maybe (3-4 games, that's the most we could possibly win; I doubt it would be more than 2) and lose out of a top 3 pick and possibly miss out on a franchise QB? There may be some available in the later rounds, and maybe we can find the next Tom Brady, I get that. But how often does that happen? Going backwards will get us going forward. Would you rather continue going forward, but not really going forward? Gabbert ain't going to cut it. I just found out today that Gabbert has a 1.4 QBR rating!!! 1.4!!!! Holy gigantic King Kong bananas!! That has to be the all time worst. And yes, it's not all his fault, but this is year 3 of the Gabbert experiment, and nothing has changed. If the sock continues to stink after washing it over and over and over, it's time to buy a new set. I would rather suck it up big time in order to make this team better in the forseable future. Not win a few and continue to be mediocre at best...... I don't understand some of y'all.......

season ticket holder??....lol....I'd be surprised if he's even really a Jags fan. Most of the people that are hell bent on the Jags winning some games, knowing the situation we're in regarding the draft are merely fans of AFC South teams coming here and posing as Jags fans. 

 

The last thing they want to see is Teddy Bridge a Jaguar or the Jags get some sort of RG3 trade windfall for the top pick.

going 4-12 isn't going to be any less of a losing culture on the players than going 1-15 (ish)....

 

The only difference will be one of those records above will get us either one of the true special difference making players that we've lacked for some time....or .....its going to land us a windfall of draft choices in a trade that can be used for a quicker rebuild, & quicker errr, winning. 

 

 

....and one of those records will likely leave us just on the outside looking in,,,,again.....at the true game changers of the draft and will have a greater chance of keeping the losing continuing long term.

We're in a completely different place today. But hey. Feel free to stay stuck in the past. The only way this team gets better this year is to continue with their current trajectory. If it makes me a hypocrite to hope for better things for this team, so be it.

I'd be content starting 0-13, seeing the next closest team have 3 wins, and then winning a couple at the end. I'm sick of garbage teams and mediocre teams. I'll take one more miserable season so we can have a quarterback for the first time since Brunell.
