This is the main reason that I question his judgment.  That kid wouldn't get a sniff at any other NFL franchise, and here he's a major influence.  He doesn't know crap about football, or sports.

Some people seem to think that I only posted this thread because of my frustration with the team, when in fact I am being completely serious about this topic. I personally don't trust Shad, and I think that it was a huge mistake to sell it to someone who was born outside of Jacksonville, let alone the United States. I understand that rebuilding takes time, but lets face the facts here. The Jags have been getting progressively worse each year since 2011 and Khan has done very little to address the teams issues outside of the occasional PR campaign here and there.

 

Khan has everything to gain as a businessman moving the team out of Jacksonville, and he has the chance to do just that if it gets to the point where people just stop showing up to the games and the city no longer cares about the Jaguars. 0-16? #STANDUNITED LOL.

The point is he could move the team and the increase in capital value of the team would far outweigh what it would cost him to pay off the lease to the city of Jacksonville. He could move it to San Antonio, Toronto, Las Vegas or Memphis. I would highly suspect any city wanting an NFL football team would kick in the money to buy out the Jaguar's lease at Everbank. People who think the lease is preventing him from moving, if he so chooses, are fooling themselves.

I believe his obligation in the lease is to make the lease payments. As long as he's making the lease payment he is not in default of the lease thereby keeping his books to himself. The 3-year loss clause is only if he's breaking the lease.

What's concerning is the Fulham fans are saying the exact same thing, he refuses to shell out for impact players. I think his goal was just to belong to one of the most exclusive fraternities in the world (nfl/premiership owners), not so much about fielding championship (or even competitive in our case) teams. Then flip these clubs for profit down the road.
