The good old days of the Mularkey era?

You're right. It's that bad.

Quote:His pocket presence is the worst part of his game. Multiple times he had a clean pocket but he freaked out and rolled out for no reason.

You can't say nothing was there until you look at the film after the game...There may have been an orb or something that not everyone can see. Wink

Quote:Look guys, he had a gash on his hand and don't about forget his little thumb injury. That can be aggravating especially for the QB. Shorts also dropped three passes (TDs too). Gabbert's still developing, it takes time...you'll see. Henne is bad!

My sarcasm meter is malfunctioning...please tell me this is sarcasm? Blaine Gabbert, good kid, he tried, he's not the answer and he never will be.

I think he had 44 yards at halftime. At least 100 yards were in garbage time. Let the special kids have some fun.

No pain, no gain.

The TV crew (Solomon Wilcox?) did a good job pointing that out today. Unfortunately I don't know if pocket presence is something that can be taught.

Yes, it can be taught.... Almost like teaching someone with 2 right feet to dance.

Just tell your QB to move to the left a lil as the 325lb. DT is bearing down on him.

It was taught, to Manning, Brady, Marino, they didn't inherently have that.

Where is Fisch teaching the Gabster pocket presence.... Geez!!!
We doing it BIG....Florida State bringing that SWAG back in 2013!!!!

This comment is so wrong. Marino and the rest we not taught pocket presence... They absolutely had it in them already.. Gabbert does not .

I like how people are complaining about Short's missed balls when all but two of them were just awfully thrown. He shouldn't have had to make these leaps or adjustments on open throws.

The new guys we brought in through the draft and FA haven't looked bad at all from  Ball, Gratz, Cyprien, Evans, and Joekel is just a piece of a terrible unit. We may see what these guys have in the future but it isn't this year. The offensive line and defensive line need extensive work.

No pain, no gain.

Perspective:

Leftwich would have the occasional game like this and people wanted to run him out of town.

Games like this are the NORM for Gabbert.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

While Gabby did play horrid which shouldnt be a suprise at all at this point Shorts had IMO his worst game as a pro. He is directly responsible for the first 2 ints and on both he had a chance to break up or at least try to break up the int and once the ball got tipped he didnt even try to retrack and finish the play as receivers are taught.

That said Gabbey self sacked himself just running without looking multiple times and even when the line gave him a clean pocket he just ran outside the blocking for no reason.

There should be a rule - while posting regarding Gabbert's lack of ... whatever ... you have to state where you stood regarding Geno Smith.
