Lol, I left the U.K in December 96. That's about 21 years ago, more than half my life. My addresses since then have included St. John's Bluff Road, Townsend Blvd, San Pablo Rd, Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL...
Try again, David, or better yet, keep to the subject at hand; our demolition in Houston or wherever, and our #1 draft pick target. #WhiningIsFoodforDave

Why do I get the feeling that no matter how the teams play, the Texans have been pre-determined to win this game by the NFL as a gift to the Houston community?

Is it kind of like Madona where all we need to do is state BritJag on the envelope and the US Postal Service knows exactly where to deliver it? Pretty cool !! .
It would be a very tough environment for the Jags, with the focus on all the heroes in Houston, especially J J Watt, etc. I'm sure the NFL and the referees will add a little home cookin' whenever needed.

Funny...that tinfoil hat goes well with my wardrobe. Unless the Texans players suffer from extreme exhaustion due to the conditions there, I see nothing other than a Texans win. It seems destined...scripted. J.J. Watt returning? Raising money for Houston? Against the Jaguars? Is Derrick Thomas' sack record out of the question? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

JJ Watt is making an extraordinary difference in raising funds and awareness for people needing help from Hurricane Harvey. Watt is a HOF caliber player. Yet, an even better person and leader! https://www.youcaring.com/victimsofhurri...vey-915053 The Texans-Cowboys pre-season game that was moved to ATT Stadium in Arlington, TX. has been cancelled in order for the Texans to be able to focus on their families and overall more important needs back home. Whatever decision is made for the Jaguars-Texans season opener in terms of where and when it will be played, I hope it's one that works out for the best for both teams and for others affected by Hurricane Harvey. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/8/30/16226...ane-harvey

The refs probably cheated us out of 30 wins during the Gus era so why should this be any different. .
Unfortunately, swapping games will not effect the Jaguars playoff push...... we will be talking about the who will be the 3rd or 4th pick of the draft when that game rolls around.

All of America will be rooting for the Texans on opening day. I'm beginning to realize how the Washington Generals felt.

Yes. That is the important question. While my heart goes out to everyone affected by this storm and flooding (I have close friends leaving their homes as I type this) I really hope the Jags rain on the tinhorns' parade in week one. OK, OK, I know... BAD choice of words. Forgive me. Seriously - I'd be thrilled to see the Jags pull out an upset on September 10th, and I also pray for the safety of all of those struggling in south Texas.
