Dave might be worse than Gene Smith. At least Gene Smith didn't draft 3 straight busts with his top 2-3 picks! And Dave's first draft is a wasteland every bit deserving of Gene Smith, except Gene Smith didn't even pick as high! And Dave's 2015 draft is looking just as bad right now. Fowler sucks in the role they intended him to play, Yeldon sucks, Cann sucks, Greene barely plays, Sample doesn't exist. And so far even Jack doesn't look like he's doing anything. We can all argue about semantics of what garbage time entails, but we can't argue that 39% of Blake's stats came when we were trailing by 10+ points and the next highest QB in the NFL was Carr with 24%. That's a very large gap over the #2 QB, much less the average QB.

Dave has a flaw in his planning. He drafted according to their bad plan. The weird focus on offense while ignoring the defense for two years is odd. Hindsight does make it worse than reality but nothing is working right now.

Not saying bortles is playing better, but on this board everyone is like, omg bortles sucks, he throws lots of picks, last year how many games did Bortles put team in position to win amd meyers lose it.


Carr does the same fg misses, tb can't win but somehow carr won this game? Whatever bortles has going on is a fix only he can fix, is it coaching or is it him not sure. But ive seen bortles throw some great footballs and he can throw then just as good as the best, he needs to fix his issues to be more consistent.

Dude im not saying bortles is better, but carr wins in overtime and the team wins cause TB can't kick extra points is no different than us last year losing games we should of won but missed xp or fgs.


Both are good qbs. Carr is more obvious that his mechanics are sound.


Bortles has work to be done and is it coaching or is it bortles. Watch him in 1st half holds ball low almost all the time. Once game is out of hand, he all of a sudden looks like a real QB with ball no lower than the waist throwing strikes.


He is also only 24 alot of rookies are older than him. Maybe he needs time to mentally prepare himself by working on his deficiencies for a year.
