The Jaguars spent 7 draft picks and $150 million on free agents on DEFENSE

Ok sure. You're like CNN spinning things.

How many draft picks and how many dollars have been spent on the offense?

The offense was #14 last year. It's had success. Young players are always up and down.

The defense has never been better than #26 under Gus.

Let me get this straight, your dad was a scout, you have met and talked with different scouts, your dad is friends with the Polians and George O'Leary, you have access that normal ppl don't have but with all this surrounding football knowledge, PPG is your go to stat??? This is why I accused you of being a troll. You would have to be, otherwise it would mean you weren't smart enough to see the contradiction of claiming high access to actual football ppl and basing performance on a singular stat. You are careful to choose your battles on here for fear of exposure. Why else parrot the same theme with not one original thought to support or even hash out the minutiae? My dad says this, George says this, scouts say this. This screams fraud. I get that you don't care, but you've been rather meticulous at reminding us as if it will validate your posts. It won't.

PPG is not a scout's go to stat; that's just clearly what's wrong with the Jaguars. The Jags hired a "defensive guru" coach who has the top 5 worst scoring defense in the NFL 4 years straight. Let that sink in. This franchise chose Gus Bradley over Jay Gruden is ALL you have to know with the decision makers.

This is what I mean, you're singularly using scoring D without context. As if it stands alone and inherently explains all. Can you go into detail about what has contributed to the scoring D beyond saying coach Bradley sucks? You're around all this football, give us an assessment of what went wrong and why.

I wonder what the PPGWNTBMT10<3QTR (points per game when not trailing by 10+ before 3rd qtr) would be?

Why do you guys blame Bortles for everything and not one of the worst running games in the NFL

It's common sense. The defensive scheme just doesn't work.

Alex Smith is a below average QB but KC runs the ball well and KC is a very good defense. They are #8 in scoring defense in 2016, was #3 in scoring defense in 2015, was #2 in scoring defense in 2014, and #5 scoring defense in 2013.

Andy Reid is a good coach. Gus Bradley isn't. It's 100% coaching. Look around the NFL and the elite playoff teams all have elite coaches even Baltimore many times with Harbaugh, even with subpar QBs like Flacco. Talent only gets you so far. The Bengals have been one of the top 5 talented teams in the NFL every single year both offensively and defensively but come playoff time then are like (0-8) under Marvin Lewis because they are woefully unprepared.

Gus Bradley has NEVER beaten a team with a winning record. It's not rocket science.

It's clearly not all Blake but he IS a huge problem right now at the single most important and influential position on the field, on either side of the ball. If he were performing at least average or even slightly below the heaviest focus would be on the other known issues.

All of these ppl around you with a background in football and this is your best explanation? You don't know anyone and you sure as hell don't know football.

All I ever see is Bortles bashing, mostly by people who never wanted him, trying to say "see I was right". I understand the QB is always gonna get the blame, but our running game is terrible, we are always in 3rd a longs.

Meanwhile Alex Smith and Brock Osweiler two bad QB's are heading to the playoffs. Same with Sam Bradford. As did the worst statistics QB in the NFL last year Peyton Manning who won a Super Bowl. Joe Flacco, Trent Dilfer, and all of the other QBs who could only dream of throwing 35 TDs and 4400 yards in a season.

Defense is extremely important in the NFL. Most NFL teams can score. Not many play good defense. The Jags certainly don't; bottom feeders defensively in all FOUR years Gus has been here.

Part of the 3rd and longs are incomplete passes in routine pass situations. We're not even seeing situational awareness by bortles. No one should have to coach you up not to throw a pick on 3rd down in chip shot field goal range, especially in a 6-0 game.

How many turnovers have each of these qbs produced? Where do their offenses rank in TOP?

So if we had a Denver defense you're saying that would hide our offenses inabilities and major QB struggles? Well, yeah that's true.

Conversely - A good QB can also help a below average defense too.

The offenses are much different because of running games.

Correct. If you put what Bortles did last year 35 TDs and 4400 yards on a top 5 defense, we are a top 6 NFL team.

So they have as many or close to our same amount of turnovers?
