Quote:Playing as poorly as he has while here it is becoming more than evident that if he does not improve dramatically he will fail to reach the level of franchise QB.

With that said. I have always disliked when these anonymous claims come out. Sack up and own it if you said it.

 Any link to this statement.?

I think it was probably on nfl insiders or nfl live not sure.  Sucks to hear someone say that though.

We all bought into his being drafted and saw what we wanted to see.

it happens and I just hope and pray that we correct it.

Ditch henne, play Allen more and draft a mid round quarter back next year....or better trade fowler off for a vet.

Maybe next season they roll with Romo/Cutler/Fitzpatrick lol. It still comes down to if Bortles is fixable and if Caldwell missed on Bortles does he get another crack at a qb or not.

Can't afford a star QB in FA. We now have to save money for the players we have, gonna have to get one from the draft.

If Blake can't handle the pressure of Duval, good luck in a "real market." LMAO. Pressure magnified x10.

You can count on your fingers the only ones really needing to worry about resigning. There are not a whole lot of players that are not easily replaceable talent wise.

Unless some talented Junior declares like Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina, then this years QB crop is razor thin. I like Western Michigan's Zach Terrell's arm talent, but the kid is rail thin and that wrries me.

Ah the stories of the greedy agent. What a classic, every free agent should goto NY or LA. More endorsement money for the agen.. Er I mean player right?

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Rail thin is like a starving child, the kid is 6'1 209lbs. You don't want him to get slow and built like a LB.

I'm amazed how much things change in the course of two months.

Can't wait for Lamar Jackson in 2 years. Spacecoast thinks he's a slot WR, so he will probably be an all pro QB.

Bortles could maybe bulk up 15 pounds and be our starting LG next year.

He'll gain more than 15 before the season is over. Those bars at the beach have outstanding happy hour prices.

Does it matter which player said this? If there is one, there are more. No way this offense thinks Bortles is a great QB.

I said it after we lost to the Chargers, Caldwell drafted a pitcher to play QB.

Bortles just needs to put a bag of sunflower seeds or some chew in his mouth, and he'll player better.

JT would make a lot of sense too.

This is what I'm thinking. He's seen enough of his ducks, windup, and terrible reads. How many INT's did he throw last year trying to force it to JT? He misses a ton of reads that could potentially lead to big gains or TD's. On half of these replays you can find JT wide open in the middle of the field, or Hurns turning up the sidelines in a great position for splash play. Instead he throws a duck to the turf and calls it a day.
