I was going to argue

Quote:Peter King mentioned this last night. The Jaguars are the worst team of 2016. Worse than the Browns. The worst coached team. We clearly have more talent than the Browns, but Hue Jackson > Gus Bradley despite having less HC experience. It has been obvious all season we have the right players and wrong coaches. Quote:As crazy as it sounds, considering the QB injuries and overall youth/ turnover the Browns have had, from a distance it seems like Hue Jackson is doing a good job as Browns HC. It wouldn't surprise me if they win a game soon, with even better results than that. The Browns should have won a game, maybe two, by now. They made a Chargers-style collapse against the Ravens. You said it: the biggest problem in Cleveland is under center, not on the sidelines. Quote:Wrong box,History shows that there is more instances where firing a coach mid season solved nothing than an interim HC turns the team around...It has happened before, but its very rare...
So the logic to keep Bradley is because it won't get any better?
Yet, it has gotten worse with him? He is a cancer to the org and a point needs to be made, that a winning culture is all that is acceptable. Right now, Khan is showing that it's ok to be a pansy.

Anybody who does not know this obviously does not pay attention to any NFL team outside of his own. The only interim head coach I am aware of who won more games than the guy before him that year is Bruce Arians, who was forced into the job for a medical reason. You said it: the biggest problem in Cleveland is under center, not on the sidelines. The Ravens and Dolphins games definitely were there for the taking. With the inconsistencies of Ryan Fitzpatrick, though I don't have the guts to pick the Browns in the weekly picks, it wouldn't surprise me if they beat the Jets this coming Sunday. Quote:To fire Gus now just for the purpose of salvaging the season may be the wrong reason to do it.No matter when he's fired he will be held accountable...Firing someone just to be rid of them serves no purpose...nothing will change other than we wont see him on the sideline anymore...I'm not a gus supporter anymore, but the chances of a turnaround by firing him is remote
Quote:The Ravens and Dolphins games definitely were there for the taking. It certainly does not help that they lost Eric Decker for the season. Also, the Browns will get Josh McCown back. But the way Cleveland chokes, you can't count out a Jets win either. Quote:It certainly does not help that they lost Eric Decker for the season. Also, the Browns will get Josh McCown back. But the way Cleveland chokes, you can't count out a Jets win either. Center Nick Mangold is doubtful for the game, which is another major obstacle for the Jets. This on top of former OSU LB Darron Lee being out for a 2nd straight game. I'm thinking seriously of changing my pick to the Browns. We show less advertisements to registered users. Of course I am more worried about the Jaguars losing their next game. Quote:Ugh. I don't care about the Jets, but hate reading bad news about former Buckeyes. Nick Mangold is a Pro Bowler. No need to worry. That is energy you don't need to expend.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I was just rebutting your comment because the second part implies you want the Jaguars to lose. Yes, I do know that part of the Good Book. Quote:Wrong box, Exactly. There is probably no point in firing Bradley (which saddens me greatly). We need to can the whole staff and start fresh next year. I think if we hire an interim now, then the players will for sure have given up with 9 games remaining. We give Caldwell another couple years with a new HC. I don't believe a new system is going to be a big issue, if we find the right coach (ala Mike Tomlin his first year, the Harbaughs their first years) then we should be fine.
Gus needs to go. The coaches, players, scouts and everyone else needs to be put on alert that your job is at stakes.

Assume you do that I "want" the Jaguars to lose. The Jaguars can't win and it has nothing to do with what I want. You think I wanted this year to be so darn futile? Not at all. I'm an analytics person when my emotion doesn't get me and I could see this year playing out this way. That doesn't mean I like it.

They can show they are trying to win. And you never know; maybe the Chiefs will lay an egg.
Quote:Khan needs to fire himself. He's a clown. You remind me of Skip Bayless. |
