Per Khan (via Ryan O), no coaching change

Quote:I thought that as well. After that firing the Bills improved. One major reason why I would be skeptical that the Jaguars would improve on a multiple consecutive game basis if only the team's Offensive Coordinator is fired is unlike with Rex Ryan, who has a history of winning as an NFL HC, Gus Bradley doesn't. Though I certainly didn't expect the Bills to win 4 straight games, I would be shocked if the Jaguars put together a winning streak of that size under Bradley. Quote:The thing is, at this point, those games are going to be losses regardless. We can't score vs. Bears, Raiders, and Titans. There's no way we move the ball vs. Bronco/Vikings. Houston historically has given us a tough time defensively and Detroit/Buffalo have been playing better lately too. We did score against the Bears, Raiders, and Titans. Don't pretend they were shutouts. During preseason, I picked wins against the Raiders, Lions, and Bills. That was before disaster struck and it became clearer than ever coaches are holding us back with short leashes. We are not declawed kitties and still have a full set of teeth. If Shad Khan makes the change that needs to be made sooner than all signs point to (January 2), we still have hope players will respond to it positively. However, it is important for all Jaguars fans to understand winning at least one more game is still possible and nobody is tanking for a new coaching staff.

Bradley is not getting canned mid-season for two reasons:
(1) No one on the current staff is realistic HC material for next year, even if they were able to eke out a few more wins than Gus could. You could argue Marrone, but what's he done with the O-line? (2) The Jaguars aren't making the playoffs, so it's best to "suck for Luck." The remaining games with a lame-duck HC will be a fantastic time to evaluate which players have the self-motivation to be pros.

It is obvious both guys have to go and until they do, the Jaguars will not win four straight games. Just firing the OC worked for Buffalo and Detroit (and to a lesser extent Indianapolis), so if Shad Khan did go that route, it would be "something better than nothing," but not fix the underlying problem. Quote:Bradley is not getting canned mid-season for two reasons: There is no reason to believe tanking for a high draft pick is good for the team right now. Yesterday, you asked a question in the following thread what did Ford do to shake things up in Detroit in the middle of last season, following the comment that ColoJag made: https://jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/to...ntry868413 I'm going to answer the question here because it relates to what you mentioned. Though Offensive Coordinator Joe Lombardi was fired following a horrific Offensive performance against the Vikings in Game # 7, both Offensive Line Coaches were also fired. This happened 6 days before the Lions played the Chiefs in London and it should have been predictable ( though fans like me try to find any ray of hope possible ) that the Lions got demolished by the Chiefs. This despite the fact that the Chiefs had recently came off a 5 game losing streak. In the days that followed the Chiefs game in London, Lions owner Martha Firestone Ford did what her late husband never would have: She fired Team President Tom Lewand and GM Martin Mayhew. Though Lions Offensive Coordinator Jim Bob Cooter did an excellent job in the 2nd half of the season when the team went 6-2, which ended up saving Jim Caldwell's job for 2016 despite a new GM ( Bob Quinn ) being hired in January, all of the collective changes the Lions made were a major factor in the turnaround. It wasn't just the Offensive Coordinator. The organization needed dramatic change. It was a much needed wake up call. I'm not sure to what extent needs to change in Jacksonville. But there's no question in my mind that just replacing Greg Olson would be the equivalent of plugging a hole in a dam using Elmer's Glue. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:God you are such a troll. Just insult Luke Del Rio and you'll be ignored instantly. Quote:There is no reason to believe tanking for a high draft pick is good for the team right now. Well, yeah. It kind of is the only thing right now. The only consideration is do you want Dave Caldwell choosing or a new GM. It's probably a moot point anyway, since we're likely to tank without even trying to tank.

Quote:Bradley is not getting canned mid-season for two reasons: I'm not saying Doug Marrone is a good option for the Jaguars HC in 2017. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. But in some cases, a coach is better suited to be a Head Coach than a Coordinator or Position Coach. It's possible that Doug Marrone fits that description. Though I didn't like the way Marrone left Buffalo, to his credit he did lead them to a winning record season. Something that didn't happen prior to that since 2004. The remaining games with a lame-duck HC will be a fantastic time to evaluate which players have the self-motivation to be pros. The 1st reason I don't agree with. This one I do to an extent. It's essentially tanking for the next guy. I don't agree with doing it though. Gus and his [BLEEP] "culture" need to be removed ASAP before it's too late. It might already be too late.
Quote:Well, yeah. It kind of is the only thing right now. When you see the anger and frustration through both words and body language, you know the team is not thinking for one second about tanking. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:Everybody is on to you. Time to pack up and head over to another message board to troll. You did not answer the question. Why is that specific post trolling if it is 100% about the Jaguars? That is impossible. How many times do I have to tell people there is no other Jaguars board on the Internet? Everyone is stuck with me as long as I have an account. Also, there is no reason to believe if I did find another forum, I would register on it to be a troll. I am not a troll here.
Now, to make sure nobody attacks me in any thread again, let's stop talking about me and only focus on the Jaguars. I am done talking about myself outside of PMs.
