Bad throwing mechanics? Nothing to do with Bortles, all coaching.

Throws inaccurate? Nothing to do with Bortles, all coaching.

Throw into triple coverage in the endzone? Nothing to do with Bortles. Sun was in his eyes, would have been a TD if we lived around a dimmer star.

Quote:We were the #14 OFFENSE IN NFL last year with an age 23 QB.

The issue is coaching and defense.

The coaching has NEVER been good.

The scoring defense has NEVER been good.

The offense WAS good. The QB is 24. It will be up and down, especially with the worst coaching in the NFL.

It's an ineptly run franchise.
So you put none of the blame on Blake this year? How about that throw to Lee in triple coverage? Or the Slant to Robinson for no gain in the redzone when Hurns was WIDE open in the middle on a stick route.

You don't actually think anyone believes this crap do you?

You already admitted in this thread that #5 is having a bad year. Just leave it at that and move on. That's all most of us are saying anyway.

These idiotic cherry-picked stat threads just keep making you look desperate to obscure facts and/or just dumb when it comes to football.

He is not Bortles, he's 12 years old.

Quote:Not very well. The Saints are (2-4) and missing the playoffs AGAIN. Sucks when QBs like Brees and Rivers have to play on bad defenses their entire careers.

Why did you guys get rid of Del Rio in the first place? That did not make sense to me. He always seemed to be overachieving with the talent he had.

Oh well, at least you don't have "Coach BS" anymore, so you got that going for you.

Yo, Hammer, edit your post as the board frowns upon filter avoidance.

Del meathead was not a good coach. The team was not winning and as par for the course coaches take the blame. He deserved quite a bit of it.

Your present coach was responsible for the worst season in Jaguars history. 2-14.

As sad as it is to say but coach Mularkey is a major improvement over Ken Whisenpunt. Still though, horrible choice, we are already hoping he gets fired before the season is up.

When he was here, we sometimes wondered if the [BAD WORD REMOVED] even had a pulse. Terrible, terrible coach.

I'm not even going to pretend I didn't...I laughed at this.

On the topic/OP, just let it go.

Blake, like the majority of this team, is playing like crap. It is what it is and nothing any of us does nor says is going to change that...just accept it like the rest of us and hope they canplay/study/practice his way out of this funk between now and the start of next year. That's all we really can do at this point.

People here always knew that Del Rio overachieved with the talent, but there were always rumors that he lacked a work ethic and his defenses were suffereing at times as well.

When things are going bad, there's always a fall guy and people want a fresh start.  That's how it goes in the NFL.

Stats...smats.....what's interesting is that the defensive guru that bradley was supposed to be.....has never showed up here.

Because he ran Carrolls system. Not his own.

Quote:You WILL not agree with this but it's all the difference in the world......

2015 Carolina Panthers (15-1)- #6 scoring defense in NFL

2015 Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11)- #31 scoring defense in NFL

2016 Carolina Panthers (1-5)- #29 scoring defense in NFL

2016 Jacksonville Jaguars (2-4)- #26 scoring defense in NFL

Did Cam Newton REGRESS as a QB? He was MVP. No. His team is just bad as the Jags are now.

Gus Bradley has had 4 years to fix a defense that is constantly #26-#31 in scoring defense in ALL 4 years, leads the NFL in penalties, and is LAST in takeaways.

9 of the top 10 scoring defenses in 2016 are on pace to make the NFL playoffs.

Until you understand how important this is, you'll never have a winning team......

Jags have scored 117 points this year- they are (2-4)

Bears have scored 111 points this year- they are (1-6)
Seahawks have scored 111 points this year- they are (4-1-1)

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

So your telling me that our defense has improved in ppg allowed, but we are still losing? Blake regressed, you proved it!

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Same story with JDR. A former NFL linebacker could not fix our awful defense. Now he is coaching the NFL's worst defense. It is proof success starts with the GM, not the HC.

Quote:While a lot of its coaching, none of it has anything to do with a qb that has regressed a bit.  How could we have been the #14 offense in the NFL with the same coaching staff and look at where we are now with the same players.

You really are a child.

Easily. The talent is there; Bortles, Hurns, and A Rob. You're telling me these people are less talented players than Garropolo, Edelman, Dion Lewis, Amendola? Coaching is everything. Coaches put players in the RIGHT SPOTS. Inmates run the asylum in Jacksonville. This incompetent staff took 4 weeks to even play Myles Jack with a #26 ranked scoring defense.

Sure, call me a child when you can't debate properly.
