Quote:When was the last time a Jag won a superlative award or honor? We don't get the same TV exposure as the majority of the league being we're a small market team.

I hate the "small market" complaint. The smalles TV market in all professional sports is Green Bay.

At this point I only care about Jalen Ramsey's candidacy for an award. He has 10 more chances to show his hands are bigger than his mouth.

Quote:Closest one that I can recall would be Fred Taylor, who otherwise would have won if not for a historically great rookie season from Randy Moss. I believe MJD would have been the winner too had it not been for Vince Young.

I don't think market size would have been a detriment. Player ability is.

Correct. Fred Taylor was the runner-up in 1998. It was very close between him and Randy Moss.

I hate when people say Green Bay is the smallest market.  Milwaukee is 117 miles and is 35th in market size.  It would take adding Orlando to Jacksonville to come up from 47th market size (140 miles) includes Melbourne and Daytona Beach.

Green Bay is a founding franchise that means a heck of a lot.  Jacksonville has the lowest measurable outside the immediate market.  Heck people would think they already relocated if it wasn't for Madden.

Quote:Ngakoue's stats are better than Bosa's.

Both have 4 sacks.  Ngakoue has two more tackles.  Plus he has one INT and two Pass Defense. Bosa has none of either.

Ngakoue played every game, that's why. It is pretty hard to have more tackles and passes defensed than a guy who played more games.

You don't have to like the fact, but it is true. Also, when people talk about market sizes, they obviously are referring to population, not square milage.

I was taking a pot shot at you.  Green Bay is not a small market team.  They have a national fan base.  The Jaguars are extremely regional and aren't the most popular team in their own state.

Quote:I have to admit, so far, I was completely wrong about Bosa
Many of us were hoping he be there for us.  And when wasn't it was either Ramsey or Jack.

Yeah that's already been established in this thread.

It is true, Bosa has it wrapped up.

This is misleading because Yannick played in more games.

"Small market" refers to the city of Green Bay. How many fans they have nationwide has nothing to do with it.

You know it is not true because the season is not over yet.

You're extremely irritating. I guess you have me on ignore but the whole point of how many snaps they played was to show who's done more with their time on the field. Bosa has played significantly less snaps than Yannick but has just as many snaps he just doesn't have an INT or FF.
